Salute our Silver Stars

Join us in recognizing the unsung heroes - the Silver Stars in our community!

These individuals are 62+ and have had notable success and demonstrate strong leadership in their field of business and are retired and now serving our community. They are involved in nonprofits and volunteer in activities to lift others and serve–the ones we all want to be like.

Melvin Wilson, Sr.

Melvin, is such a go getter, he's star walker in our community with walking being a daily routine. Melvin always encourage his friends and neighbors to join him as he walks to maintain his daily exercise. Melvin is also a part of the Fleming Senior Center and supports all programs, activities and events. Melvin enjoys being apart of the annual BCDA 5k run/walk every year. Melvin is an active 81 year old and can see him throughout our community helping and picking up seniors to take them to the store or bring them to the senior center for daily activities. Melvin is Fleming's Silver Star!!

Cheri Brown

Cheri Brown is 80 years young and a wonderful member of the Dundalk & Edgemere communities. She has been a leader of Project Hope for more than 15 years (formerly known as Stitches from the Heart) where she gathers a group of women from the community monthly to make blankets, hats, socks, etc. for critically ill infants at Johns Hopkins Bayview and Franklin Square Medical Center! She is a bright light in our community & family, inspiring others by proving you can make a difference at any age.

Joseph Ulsch III

He is a Blessing to the Dundalk Community.

She is an amazing woman. She has been organizing and running the Edgemere Church of God Foodbank for countless years! Serving thousands of individuals and families in Baltimore County. Ms. Alderman

Frank Neighoff

Community and resident focused volunteer who protects the Chesapeake Bay with many litter clean-up programs, environmental education programs and raises funds for scholarships.
