The nomination phase. The public submits their favorite businesses and organizations in each of the 150+ categories.

WHAT ARE THE COMMUNITY CHOICE AWARDS?
Each year, the Community Choice Awards polls local communities across the country to choose the best businesses and organizations in their area. Through a public nomination and voting process, more than 200 communities choose the best of the best. Whether you need to find an exceptional plumber or the best spot for a burger, you can count on locals for their insights.
The voting round. The top five nominees in each of the 150+ categories move on to this round, where the public votes on the winners.
The celebration! A special edition winners’ section is published in the newspaper. This makes a handy keepsake guide to the top businesses and organizations in the area.
In select markets, a gala-style live awards show is held to celebrate the top three finalists, and the winners are announced. In addition, nominations, voting and final results will be available on your local paper’s website during each phase.
