HONORING CREATIVE ADVERTISING TRAILBL AZER AWARD In a career that spans more than two decades, Ibsen is known as one of the industr y’s leading creative minds, responsible for pioneering culturally defining marketing campaigns, resulting in record-breaking box-of fice success.

His work has been widely acknowledged resulting in many Key Ar t, Golden Trailer, and Clio awards. Ibsen began his tenure at Disney in 2011, overseeing marketing ef for ts for The Avengers, Mar vel’s first release with the studio.

Since then, he has been an integral par t of ever y campaign, helping solidify Mar vel’s place as one of the most globally recognized and influential franchises. Highlights include Iron Man 3, Guardians of Galaxy, Captain America Civil War, Black Panther, Avenger’s End Game and Thor Ragnarök to name a few.

Adding diversity to his marketing slate, Ibsen also led campaigns for Lincoln, Bridge of Spies, Mar y Poppins Returns and The Kingsman. Most recently, he is credited for contributing to Mar vel’s groundbreaking launch on Disney+, guiding marketing ef for ts for WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If and Moon Knight.

Ibsen has always had a passion for ser ving and helping others, stating mentorship and nur turing talent among his most valued achievements. Taking a special interest in students and those passionate about the industr y, he has helped develop many budding careers, investing time both in and out of the classroom to those striving to meet their own personal goals and ambitions. He recently ser ved on La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation and currently is on the Murrow Professional Advisor y Board for Washington State University. He lives in La Cañada, CA with his wife and their three children, and is ver y active in his community as a spor ts coach and educator.Avengers, Mar vel’s first release with the studio. Ibsen star ted his career as a PA , and he quickly built recognition in the industr y as a young talent to watch. Af ter joining Intralink as an editor in 2006, he established himself as a breakout star with his acclaimed trailer for The Dark Knight. From there, Ibby found his final home on the agency side at mOcean as a Creative Director/VP.

EVENT HOST Nischelle Turner is co-host of the seventime Emmy Award-winning news magazine ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT. She joined ET as a correspondent in 2014 and was named co-host in 2021.

Turner is an award-winning journalist, having won six Emmy Awards with ET, and a contributor for CNN where she is featured in enter tainment segments on “CNN Newsroom,” “New Day” and “CNN Tonight.” Turner of ten lends her voice to enter tainment and political news shows, along with joining their coverage on the Grammys, Golden Globes and Oscars.

She also hosts and produces CBS’ summer hit series, “Secret Celebrity Renovation,” which began its third season in August 2023 and co-hosts the popular “The Big Podcast with Shaq.”

Turner began her journalism career in 1998 when she joined WEHT as a repor ter and fill-in anchor in Evansville, Ind. In 2000, Turner was a weekday repor ter and weekend anchor for WVUE-T V FOX8 in New Orleans. Af ter establishing a presence in news, Turner joined K TT V in Los Angeles in 2004 as a repor ter on “Good Day L A” and anchor for “Good Day L A Weekend.” She returned to New Orleans a few months af ter leaving to cover Hurricane Katrina and its af termath for “Good Day L A .” Her coverage of the disaster won several journalism awards.

As an avid spor ts fan, Turner’s passion and knowledge came in handy when she joined “Fox NFL Sunday” as a sideline repor ter for national football broadcasts in 2007. She has also covered Major League Baseball and basketball for Fox. In 2009, Turner hosted “Extra on Essence,” an online enter tainment show focusing on Hollywood’s most elite stars. Turner also has ser ved as a freelance repor ter and host for KNBC. Turner attended the University of Missouri where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcast news.

MESSAGE FROM THE CEO Welcome to A Place Called Home’s 30th Anniversar y Celebration! Thank you all for being here for this special celebration of APCH’s past, present and future.

This evening we will enjoy exciting per formances from our own APCH members and hear hear tfelt stories directly from APCH youth and alumni members. We will also celebrate our wonder ful honoree, John “Ibby” Ibsen, who has been an amazing champion of APCH. I send my sincere thanks and appreciation to Ibby for his dedication to making this night a great success.

It ’s hard to believe it ’s already been a year since I stepped into the role of CEO, and I feel so for tunate to have done so at such a special time for the agency. As we celebrate this momentous occasion, we are not only honoring our origins and the work we’ve accomplished since our founding in 1993, but we are looking for ward, too, envisioning the future, and asking ourselves “who do we want to become in the next 30 years?”

We’ve been hard at work , delving into this ver y question, and together with our Board of Directors and Organizational Leadership Team, have solidified our vision for the future and developed a strong road map to help us get there. We are looking critically at our strengths and areas of oppor tunity, focusing on how we can make the most impact with our resources.

I hope that you will be inspired tonight and that you will stay connected to A Place Called Home. I invite you to come take a tour of our campus and see for yourself the magic you are helping to create here tonight. Thank you for being here and investing in the success of youth and families in South Central.
