Evelyn Tayeko Sasaki, age 84, of El Dorado Hills, California passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, surrounded by family.

Born in Los Angeles, Evelyn Tayeko Imada spent much of her childhood with her family in WWII internment camps where they were eventually relocated to the Amache Camp in Colorado. After the war, her family settled in Colorado, where she eventually met her husband, Harry Sasaki, and the two were married for more than 60 years. They later moved to Stockton, California, where the couple spent most of their lives. In Downtown Stockton, Harry and Evelyn started and operated Star Fish Market, becoming a staple in the community over the years.
