The year 2025 has been a year of change at the state and national levels.

Some of those changes have caused us to adapt personally and professionally to policies that affect the way we live and work. On many levels, those changes can be tremendously challenging, and there is a shared frustration among many planners about how they affect our work. From a different viewpoint, those changes can simultaneously be motivating. What changed this year can change again, and we as professionals are equipped to respond and navigate those changes for the communities and stakeholders we serve.
