Belgian detective extraordinaire, Artemis Arinae, is enjoying a cruise along the Nile when tragedy strikes again. The passengers and staff are suspects, the murder count is growing… Will Arinae’s little grey cells identify the murderer in time?

Following a sell-out West End run, European Arts Company brings this brilliant dramatisation of the libel and criminal trials of Oscar Wilde, written by his grandson Merlin Holland.

Thursday 14 February 1895 was the triumphant opening night of The Importance of Being Earnest and the zenith of Wilde’s career.

Less than 100 days later, he found himself sentenced to two years hard labour. So what happened during the trials and what did Wilde say? Was he persecuted or the author of his own downfall?

By using the actual words spoken in court, we can feel what it was like to be in the company of a flawed genius – as this less than ideal husband is suddenly reduced to a man of no importance.

La Bohème

in a new English version by Robin Norton-Hale OperaUpClose bring their Olivier Award-winning, English adaptation of Puccini’s La Bohème set to Robin Norton-Hale’s thought-provoking libretto.

One of the most accessible and moving operas ever written, La Bohème charts the ups and downs of a group of idealistic graduates. Aspiring novelist Rodolfo discovers a harsher reality when he falls for immigrant cleaner Mimi, while his best friend Marcello’s tempestuous relationship with his on-off girlfriend Musetta brings humour and fireworks to the stage. £26 Under 25s and f/t students £18 (includes £3 booking fee)

The Haymarket Wote Street, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG21 7NW By car: from the ring road or junction 6 of the M3, follow signs for Basingstoke town centre and then the brown signs for The Haymarket.

Parking is available in several surface car parks or in Festival Place shopping centre. Coach drop off point in Red Lion Lane.

By train/bus: Basingstoke train and bus stations are both a 10 minute walk away, through Festival Place shopping centre.
