Renovations At Baxter’s Pond Park

Renovations are underway at Baxter’s Pond Park to the main walkway that lines the pond in the Park. Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove) recently visited the Park to observe the progress of the renovations that are made possible through capital improvement funding secured through the legislator’s office.

“Baxter’s Pond Park is such a lovely, tranquil place that attracts visitors from the Port Washington community and beyond,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “I am pleased that the County was able to secure funding to enable these much-needed repairs to take place.”

Repairs include replacing bricks that were missing or damaged by the roots of large trees. New benches and trash receptacles, as well as repairs to the flagpole and surrounding base, are among planned improvements that will further beautify the park.
