BUSINESS & VESTMANNAEYJAR PORT: Continue the work on a large-ship port that has already begun. Keep on supporting Ferðamálasamtök Vestmannaeyja. Continued development of footpaths and improved access to outdoor recreation areas. Review the renewal of the Vestmannaeyjar Fire Department's equipment during the election period. Support all types of innovative companies, for example with an innovation fund.
ADVOCACY FOR VESTMANNAEYJAR Continue to ensure responsible finances The state should be pressured to greatly improve transportation to Vestmannaeyjar. Emphasize a contingency plan for closures at Landeyjahöfn and failures at Herjólfur. Ensure that the state contributes the majority of the payment for the NSL 4 water supply system. Push for the construction of a new nursing home close to HSU. The state should be pressured to continue providing good basic services at HSU and for an pasient airplane to be stationed in Vestmannaeyjar. Increase air travel during the winter and demand trips that are useful as day trips for residents. Demand that Vestmannaeyjar issues be prioritized better in the transportation plan, e.g. a largeship port, a new tugboat, and construction on Básaskersbryggja.
