According to the Girard Perregaux website, the Constant Escapement L.M. offers a new and convincing solution to the watchmakers’ age-old concern: the precision and regularity of the functioning of a mechanical watch. It took over eight years of research and development to firmly and reliably establish this system so as to apply an instant and continuous “constant force”. Its name pays tribute to two emblematic figures of the company; its founder, Constant Girard-Perregaux, and Luigi Macaluso, who decided to promote this movement which was introduced as a working prototype in 2008. In brand new unworn condition, this is the first example ever offered at auction. What is constant force? A constant force escapement incorporates a remontoire device to ensure constant force between the escape wheel and the balance. The escapement usually works in the following way: The upper escape wheel comes to rest on the pallet fork which is at the same level. When the balance returns, the anchor recoils which results in the application of pressure on the internal tensioning spring. The moment the pallet exits, this spring is released and transmits power to the lower escape wheel. This wheel then gives the impulse to the anchor.

The small spring, therefore, gives an impulse force that is constant during the entire operation of the escapement.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series is a special edition limited to 500 units produced by the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. In addition to be equipped with all the latest technologies, its structure is a demonstration of Carbon use and lightweight, and the powertrain and chassis produce amazing performances. The exteriora is demonstrative with carbon components and exposed carbon bands on the roof and hoods, its exclusive hand made painting and its 20” rims with central nuts are mixing technology and crafts. Inside, the feeling is different regarding the incredible refinement level achieved: carbon components, black leather with Golden Yellow decorative stitching, several plates and logos remind that this is a very Exclusive Edition. And the wonderful Sport seats are 18-way adaptive, heated, ventilated and receive a “turbo S” logo in Golden Yellow embroidered on the headrests for the top of comfort and luxury. This Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series has been delivered in Belgium the 24th July 2017, the amazing color is Golden Yellow, the chassis holds the number WPOZZZ99ZJS151782 and it is the 273th built over the 500 units. As factory option it received the useful front axle lift system. The car has been driven only 488 kilometers, it gets its Porsche Certificate of Conformity and is to be registered.

This Golden Yellow 911 Turbo S Exclusive Edition probably gathers the best of modernity, refinement and performance ever produced by Porsche.

Rolex launches the reference 6263 and the 6265, in 1969 replacing the first “Oyster” chronograph, the reference 6240 which appeared in 1965. The references 6263 and 6265 were published in stainless steel or gold and included the calibre Valijoux 727. The ’Paul Newman’ has become one of the most fashionable and sought-after vintage wristwatches on the market today. The ’Panda’ is perhaps the most soughtafter of the Paul Newman’s.
