The Hudson Show: Reborn And Recharged By Karl Pass “This is a great show, and I think it’s the best it has ever looked,” commented exhibitor Susan Wirth in regard to the 2017 edition of the Hudson Antique Show. In its 45th year (fourth under manager and promoter Steve Sherhag), the show took place on Jan. 7 and 8 at the Clarion Inn in Boston Heights, Ohio. Just outside the town of Hudson in the northeast part of the state, the

quality Americana show had 53 dealers. Temperatures hovered in the single digits much of the weekend, but clear skies prevailed, and devout supporters/patrons of the show came out in force. “We had about 625,” said Sherhag. “I think the show was successful, and I was pleased with the quality and variety of things.”

The PBS television series “Antiques Roadshow,” the network’s most-watched ongoing series, will visit Harrisburg, Pa., for the first time as part of its 2017 summer tour. As part of the show, WITF will host an all-day appraisal event on Saturday, June 3, at a yetto-be-disclosed location. Three one-hour episodes will be produced from the Harrisburg event for inclusion in the 14-time Emmy Award nominated production’s 22nd broadcast season, to air in 2018. “‘Antiques Roadshow’ is so excited to visit Harrisburg in our enduring search for the country’s hidden treasures,” said executive producer Marsha Bemko. “With a first-time stop in the city, I can’t wait to explore the new area and see what local items we uncover.” Admission to the show is free, but tickets are required and must be obtained in advance. Fans can apply now for a chance to receive one pair of free tickets per household. To enter a drawing for free tickets to the event, and to see complete application rules, visit www.pbs.org/antiques/tickets. Deadline for applications is
