FOUNDING PARTNER | SOULLA DIONYSIOY Soulla Dionysiou is the Founding Partner of Dionysiou & Partners LLC. company and their transfer of title from the Hellenic Republic.

Cyprus possesses one of the most competitive corporate tax rates within Europe, at just 12,5%. In addition to Cyprus’ low corporate tax rate, other tax incentives also attract international business companies and entrepreneurs to the country, such as: 1. Dividend income is tax exempt from Cyprus corporation tax.

2. There is no withholding tax imposed on dividends paid to shareholders, who are directly or indirectly non-Cypriot resident, or are Cypriot resident but not Cypriot domicile.

3. The tax rate on royalty income and other qualifying income derived from qualifying intangible assets can be effectively reduced to 2,5%.

4. Tax credit for foreign tax paid, irrespective of the existence of a tax treaty.

5. No tax is imposed on profits from sale of securities, except the gains from the disposals of shares of companies not listed on a recognised

stock exchange which own immovable property situated in Cyprus.

6. Notional Interest Deduction is applicable on new equity issued after 1 January 2015 – which is considered to be a tax-deductible expense.

7. No tax on Foreign Exchange (FX) Gains, with the exception of FX gains arising from trading in foreign currencies and related derivatives.

8. Cash rebate or tax deductions for filming production companies operating in Cyprus.

9. Cyprus is a party to over 60 double tax treaties providing reassurance and protecting companies from the risk of being taxed twice.
