TOUGH SEASON FOR NJ FARMERS Greetings from the farm! We wish we had better news, but this season has been extremely challenging to say the least. Due to a late freeze at the very end of April and into May, we have about 20-30% of a crop for apples, nectarines and peaches. We lost all the plums and all the cherries. To make matters worse, we have not had a measurable rain since June 6th and that was only six tenths of an inch. This summer we have seen very hot, windy weather and it’s been extremely dry. We have attempted to water some crops by hand because some fields have no access to water. We hope it will turn around, but it seems that the damage may be done. We have been able to pick some of everything, just not the volume we’re used to. We still have tomatoes, corn, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, apples, melons, peppers, and more! We appreciate your support and patience as we navigate through a very difficult season. As always, you can come see us at our farm stand at 261 Ticetown Road or at one of the weekly farmers markets we attend. See our social media or our website for details. A Publication for the community of Old Bridge

ALL AROUND OLD BRIDGE IS EXPANDING! All Around OId Bridge is expanding with a new Edition All Around Matawan-Aberdeen in September After 6 years, 72 issues, and thousands of pages providing hyper local news, events, and local business highlights to the Township of Old Bridge, “All Around” will be expanding in Matawan- Aberdeen area with “All Around Matawan-Aberdeen” Publications. A publication featuring township officials, local news, and business leaders. Hyperlocal print news works! As evidenced by AAOB over the last six years, residents and businesses alike appreciate reading and learning about what is actually happening in their backyards. Even more so, reading about inspirational stories and

residents helps connect our communities together. All Around Old Bridge has been a source of information from the leadership in the Township from community events, to investments made for the town and future expansion announcements. The publication has also been a source for the business community to inform readers about their press releases, products, obituaries, and service options. We are most proud that each publication is reader friendly and appropriate for all ages. As a parent of three children, our goal is to be informative, educational, and inspiring. Always apolitical and hyper-local, we are excited to bring our publications to the townships of Matawan and Aberdeen working in concert

with both administrations and the local Matawan-Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce. All of us here would like to thank all our readers, contributors, and business partners for this exciting opportunity of expansion. Thanks to all of our readers.... See you “Around” town, -David L. Hernandez Jr, Founder and Publisher of All Around Old Bridge.
