MAYOR ALTOMONTE MESSAGE

I hope your summer has been filled with joyful moments. Whether your kids are enjoying our summer recreation program, you’re renting canoes at Lake Lefferts, or participating in town events, I hope you’re having a fantastic summer so far. Our Fourth of July event was spectacular, and I want to express my gratitude to everyone involved in making it a success. Although we’re at the midpoint of summer, there are still plenty of exciting events to look forward to in August. While many in our town are fortunate, we must remember the families in need within our community. Our food pantry, available once a month, is seeking donations of non-perishable, non-expired food items. Drop off your contributions at Borough Hall, where you’ll find two outside bins. They particularly need cereal, pasta, pasta sauce, coffee, tuna, canned chicken, shelf-stable milk, canned meals like Spaghettios, peanut butter, jelly, cookies, snacks, juice, and toiletries. I deeply appreciate the generosity of our residents in helping those less fortunate.
