On January 31, 2013, a YouTube account was created and began uploading Minecraft videos. Due to the game being near the peak of its popularity at that time, the said channel quickly gained a lot of subscribers.

This channel is called Lionmaker Studios, owned by a man named Marcus Wilton. In it, he made Minecraft Let’s Play videos, Hide and Seek videos, collabs with other popular Minecraft YouTubers at the time, and other types of content tailored towards a young audience. As a result, he gained a pretty large following of kids who liked watching his videos. And by September 2015, he had accumulated around 500 000 subscribers.

However, something shocking happened.

“Today in DramaAlert, we have an angry mother whose child had a very inappropriate interaction with a Youtuber known as Lionmaker. A Minecraft YouTuber that’s 27 years old. ”

The channel appeared in DramaAlert, a YouTube channel that acts as a news program for the online world when a mother complained about catching him on Twitter DM-ing her 13-year-old daughter for nudes. In defense, Lionmaker made a tweet, claiming that he got hacked and that he wasn’t the one who asked the kid for nudes. However, people didn’t believe in his excuse, and soon more kids came out claiming, most with proof, that Lionmaker had tried to do something sexual to them. It turns out, Marcus is a pedophile.

He was tried in court and pleaded guilty. Although there weren't any charges apart from that he’ll be put in prison for 4 years if he commits another crime before 2023.

In the end, it turns out the lion is exactly what it seems to be, a predator.

This real story talks about the unjust use of power. Power is defined to be the ability of a person to influence someone or affect something. Marcus had quite a lot of influence, and he used it to manipulate his underage fans into doing sexual favors for him. What a truly sick person.
