ORGANIZATIONALREQUIREMENTS
TimeFrame
Thenormalapplicationprocessrequiresclientsto spendatleast3fulldaysontheislandpriortothe weddingdate.Afterarrival,theresortarrangesforthe signingoftheweddingapplicationinfrontofanotary publicattheresort.Theapplicationisthendeliveredto theAttorneyGeneral‘sofficewhorequires2full businessdaysfortheapplicationtobeprocessed.The actualweddingcanbeonthefourthdayofstay. AgainstaUS390surcharge,theweddingapplication canbeprocessedwithina24hourperiod–this24hour periodmustbeabusinessday,notholidayorweekend. ThesurchargecoverstheGovernmentexpressfeesand specialcourierservicestoandfromtheresort.Anse Chastanetrequirescouplestocommittoaminimum stayof5nightstobemarriedattheresort.

Divorcedfemalepartnersmustprovidetheirbirth certificateinadditiontopassport.Divorcedpartners requiretheoriginaldivorcedocumentswhichmust showaproperraisedsealorstamp,anofficialsignature andmustclearlystatethedecreeabsoluteofthe divorce.Iftheoriginaldivorcedocumentcannotbe madeavailable,acourtcertifiedcopymustbe obtained,bearingtheappropriateoriginalraisedseals and/orstamps.Ifthedivorcepapersareinaforeign language,acertifiedtranslationintoEnglishmustbe obtainedpriortoarrivalandthistranslationmustbe broughtalonginadditiontotheoriginaldivorcepapers.
Widowedweddingpartnersneedtobringalongthe originaldeathcertificate,marriagecertificateand officialtranslationifinaforeignlanguage.
Inordertopreparetheweddingapplicationpriorto guests’arrivalalloftherequiredinformationshouldbe faxedorscantoemailtotheResortincopyafew weeksinadvance.Alloftherequireddocumentsmust bebroughtalongintheiroriginalform.Afterarrival,the legalapplicationdocumentsmustbesignedatthe resort.
WeddingDayandWeddingCeremony
Weddingsareusuallyheldintheafternoonbetween35pm.Theweddingceremonyisacivilceremonywhich isconductedbyoneoftheisland’scivilofficiants.Itisa legalrequirementthattheceremonyisconducted between6amand6pm.TheRegistrarispreparedto includeintheofficialceremonyapoemortextofyour choosing.Thiscanbediscussedwiththeresort weddingcoordinatorpriortoyourweddingday.You willreceiveanofficialstampedmarriagecertificate whichisInternationallyrecognized.
WeddingLocations
Bridesandgroomsmaychoosetheirfavoritelocation fortheceremonyonour600-acreestate.Popular locationsaretheANSECHASTANETTreehouse,KaiMer cliff-sidecabana,EmeraldFarmoroneofourtwo beaches.Weddingscanalsobearrangedintheguests’ roomorpatio,inourhistoricalestateofAnseMamin,on boardoneofourboatsorevenoffsiteatoneofour island’sbeautifulwaterfalls.Eachweddingistreatedas auniqueaffair,andtherearenostandardizedwedding programs.Thebrideandgroomcangetasinvolvedin alldetailsoftheweddingceremonyastheywishand candecideonthelocationoftheirweddingaftertheir arrival.
Pleasescanandemailtheformshownbelowtogetherwithcopiesofyourpassportsand/orbirthcertificates (divorcedfemalepartnersmustemailbothbirthcertificateandpassport),aswellasanyotherdocuments (suchasdivorcedocument,ifrelevant,showingdecreeabsolute)totheattentionoftheWedding Communicator.TheWeddingCommunicatorcanonlyproceedwithyourweddingplansonceanactual resortreservationhasbeenmadewithANSECHASTANET/JADEMOUNTAIN.Theoptionalservicescanbe bookedonceyouhavearrived,butwealwaysappreciateadvancenoticewheneverpossible.Basedonthe informationyouaresendingtous;aweddingapplicationwillbepreparedbyusthroughourlawyer.Once youhavearrivedatANSECHASTANET/JADEMOUNTAIN,thesedocumentswhicharetheformal applicationwillhavetobesignedbyyouinfrontofanotarypublic.Wehavethisformalitytakingplaceright attheResort.THISISTHEONLYFORMALITYYOUHAVETOPARTAKEINUNTILYOURWEDDING CEREMONY.PLEASEREMEMBERTHATALLDOCUMENTSMUSTBEBROUGHTALONGINTHEIRORIGINAL. Thecopiesyouhaveemailedtousforpreparationofdocumentswillnotsufficefortheapplicationprocess infrontoftheAttorneyGeneral.AlldocumentsmustbeORIGINALorCOURTCERTIFIEDcopies.Divorce documentsmustshowaraisedsealororiginalstamp–youmustbringtheORIGINALdocumentoraCOURT CERTIFIEDcopy.Donottakeanychanceswiththesedocuments.Copiesthatdonotmeetthecriteriawillbe rejectedbytheAttorneyGeneral’soffice.Wealsorequirethecopyoftheimmigrationformyouareusually givenuponentryintoSt.Lucia.
