OUT OF STATE TELEHEALTH REMINDER
Since the conclusion of the Public Health Emergency, our ability to conduct telephone and home telehealth visits with out-of-state patients has been restricted
OOS Telehealth Requirements: It is essential to note that, under our current circumstances, the following two criteria must be met before scheduling any out-of-state telehealth visits: The provider must be licensed in the state where they are delivering services The Site of Practice (SOP) must be approved
While some providers have already initiated the process of obtaining licensure in neighboring states, a considerable number have yet to do so.
Please be informed that the Division will cover the cost of the license Additionally, concerning the SOP, your malpractice insurance will extend to cover you in all states where you obtain a license, except Kansas Unfortunately, individual providers will need to procure their own malpractice insurance should they choose to practice virtually in that state.
