Fragments Of A Life Loved

Since the age of 16, director Chloé Barreau has filmed her lovers. Living between Paris and Rome, she has snapped photos and made videos of every man and woman she loved. From teenage crushes to long-distance commitments, one-night stands and deep devotions, her cameras captured each affair, suspending that version of each pair forever together on screen. But every relationship has two points of view, so Barreau embarks on a remarkable

method of autobiography to tell the full story of herself: she arranges for each of her exes to be interviewed on camera by a neutral co-author, so they can freely describe their versions of her, the woman they loved. Layering these present-day conversations with her rich archives of the same relationship, Barreau constructs an engrossing and thoroughly original history of her heart.

The Outpost

Christopher Clark, a Scottish eco-warrior, set out to build an Outpost of Progress in the heart of the Amazon rainforest—a utopian commune run by Indigenous People that balances technology with nature. Against the odds, he brings computers and utilities to the settlement while fending off deforestation and illicit trading at every turn. When wildfires burn out of control, Clark realizes that to save this last patch of undisturbed rainforest, he must motivate the

Brazilian government to create a protective reserve—but how? By staging a Pink Floyd reunion concert in the heart of the still-burning bush, of course! Filmmaker and friend Edoardo Morabito follows Clark headlong around the world to meet eccentric contacts and organize the gig. Is this a crazy scheme from a mad dreamer, a desperate stunt driven by a desperate man, or both?

Stray Bodies

Across the European Union, access to abortion, IVF and assisted dying varies drastically from country to country. Terminations are illegal in Malta, while nations like Italy protect a woman’s right to choose. If an Italian woman wants an IVF procedure, however, she must go abroad to countries like Greece. To circumvent these border restrictions, European residents are increasingly turning to medical tourism as a solution. While logistically practical, this personal travel can make for extremely vulnerable ex-

periences. In this bold experiment, cameras accompany those seeking prohibited treatments from the start of their journeys, and the equally dedicated opponents they meet en route. Real women, performance artists and activists from both sides of the moral divides are given voice and space in this daring social critique. As controversial as it is timely, Stray Bodies demonstrates just how arbitrary bodily autonomy can be.

Proserpine And The Others. Gender Violence In Western Art

The debate over whether art merely reflects society or actively shapes our collective consciousness is ongoing. While great masterpieces often dominate discussions, it’s crucial to note that art has long served as a platform to highlight and address pressing issues like violence against women. From ancient times to the present, art has extensively documented and portrayed this phenomenon, reflecting evolving societal sensibilities and contributing to the ongoing dialogue surrounding it.”

SYNOPSIS

The debate on whether art merely reflects society or actively shapes our collective consciousness continues, especially regarding issues like violence against women, which are gaining heightened attention. Many artists have perpetuated images of women as objects of male desire, often leading to depictions of violence or

rape. Our documentary aims to delve into this topic, analyzing moments in art just before violence occurs, spanning different eras and including perspectives from female artists who depicted the violated female body. This exploration reflects an awareness increasingly prominent in contemporary society.
