When I was younger, turning 65 felt “old.” Now, it feels empowered.
On January 14, I joined the millions of Americans who reached this milestone and I quickly learned that turning 65 isn’t just about birthday cake and reflection. It’s about decisions. Real ones.
With more than 10,000 people turning 65 every single day in the United States, many of us are stepping into the world of Medicare for the first time. And let me tell you, it requires attention.

I enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B on my own and because I’m not yet taking Social Security, I set up my premium payments online. It was a reminder that this season of life still calls for independence and organization. No autopilot here.
Then came the bigger decision: Do I choose Original Medicare and add a Medicare Supplement plan along with a Part D prescription drug plan? Or enroll in a Medicare Advantage (Part C) plan that bundles coverage together? Each path has its pros and considerations; flexibility versus structure, nationwide access versus network-based care, predictable costs versus bundled benefits. There is no one-sizefits-all answer. There is only the answer that fits your health, lifestyle, and financial goals.
Turning 65 is not about slowing down. It’s about being informed. It’s about protecting what you’ve built. It’s about making confident decisions for the next chapter. If you’re approaching 65 or already there, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I specialize in helping individuals understand their options clearly and confidently. Reach out for a personalized Medicare review, and let’s make sure your coverage fits your life.
This milestone isn’t an ending. It’s a powerful beginning and I’m here to help you step into it with clarity and confidence.

Former Vice-President Kamala Harris draws sold out crow at the Orpheum

Memphis, Tennessee welcomed former Vice President Kamala Harris for a highly anticipated stop on her national book tour promoting her memoir, 107 Days.

The unforgettable evening was held at the historic Orpheum Theatre, where a sold-out crowd gathered to hear firsthand reflections from one of the nation’s most historic leaders.
In 107 Days, Harris offers a compelling blend of personal insight and candid reflection, addressing her unprecedented and historically brief presidential run following former President Joe Biden’s decision to step aside. The memoir explores leadership under pressure, pivotal moments behind the scenes, and lingering questions surrounding that defining chapter in American politics.
The evening’s conversation was thoughtfully moderated by Memphis-based interior designer and lifestyle influencer Carmeon Hamilton, whose engaging dialogue added both warmth and depth to the discussion.
It was a powerful night of conversation, reflection, and inspiration one Memphis won’t soon forget. Memphis didn’t just host a book tour stop it witnessed history in the making.
