Just how much pressure can the sleeve take?
We tested the sleeve against a 4,000 psi pinhole burst to determine the potential danger and level of sustained protection provided by the sleeve. Equipment:
• Sleeve: RS-98HT (0.98 inch thickness at 12 inches long)
• Tubing: Two, 90° L steal tubes with a 1mm hole drilled in the inside of a tube and one drilled on the outside of a tube.
RESULTS
• Pressure was diffused by the sleeve creating a wide spray pattern that didn’t spray beyond 24 inches
• Examination of the sleeve after the test showed minimal fiber damage
CONCLUSION
• RHINO Sleeve ® HT will minimize potential damage to operators
