HOLMES BEACH – Vrbo (Vacation rental by owner) has selected Holmes Beach vacation rental owner Mike Wilcox to perform the coin toss at the Vrbo Citrus Bowl game in Orlando. The Vrbo Citrus Bowl game between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Iowa Hawkeyes will be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando at noon on New Year’s Day. ANNA MARIA - The Manatee County Tourist Development Council (TDC) met the new Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Communications Manager, Nick Azzara, at its meeting earlier this month. The communications manager role will be multifaceted, including working on websites, social media, facilities such as the Premier Sports Campus and the convention center, arts and culture announcements and media inquiries. “I had been with Manatee County government from December of 2008 to this October when an opportunity arose and it fit into place for me,” Azzara said.
