As a one week intern I was hosted by CBI and immersed in the entire field of design. I learned about every side of the industry, touring A+D, construction, and project management firms, as well as furniture showrooms, job sites, and finished projects. I connected with professionals in all of these roles, learned more about what makes CBI a successful company, and reflected on the ways that I can make a difference in the industry.
• Grew my business from 13 clients in 2022 to 25 in 2023. • Averaged teaching 35 swim lessons a week to children ages 7 months to 10 years. • Managed communications with parents, scheduling and finances, successfully earning $6,000 in the summer of 2023.
