How did you come to be a Fashion Designer?
Answer - During my formative years, I Manav Gangwani was the archetype of a nerd – a devoted reader who achieved a 93.8 percent score in my twelfth-grade examinations and was poised to pursue engineering in the United States. However, fate intervened abruptly, wrenching away the metaphorical diamond spoon I had been born with, rather than merely a silver one. A family crisis forced a change of plans, leading me to abandon my engineering aspirations and instead pursue a path in fashion. Fortunately, my extensive travels abroad had acquainted me with international fashion trends, which proved advantageous when I enrolled in a fashion school in Delhi. In fact, my exposure surpassed that of many faculty members at the institution.

I possess an excessive number of shoes! Whenever I find a style I adore, I tend to purchase multiple pairs in the same design and color.Additionally, I've amassed a sizable assortment of sunglasses, although I frequently misplace them.
The one thing that nobody knows about you?
• I don't rely on measurements. I can visually assess a woman and determine her size.
• If not a designer, I would like to be diamond jeweler.
Is there Indian Touch in your work?
Manav Gangwani Couture is known for his bridal collection, lehenga's, sarees, all over the world.
My creations possess a global aesthetic while remaining rooted in Indian essence.
When you have a show, what’s your biggest challenge?
Ensuring the accuracy of the show's title is crucial to me! I curate the collection, determine the title, and then tailor the set design accordingly. What sets me apart from other designers is that I only undertake one show annually. Thus, each show holds immense significance, including the seating arrangements. There's always a demand for front-row seats, and unfortunately, not everyone can be accommodated. Regrettably, this has led to the loss of a few friendships, which weighs heavily on me given my sensitive nature.
What do you do with all the money you make?
Which money? Following lavish spending on collections, shows, and entertaining clients with flair, there isn't much remaining. Additionally, I make regular visits to the Tirupati Balaji temple and contribute to charitable causes there.
