Southtowns Catholic School Field Trip to Tifft Farms

Students in Miss Annmarie Busha's Grade 4 & Miss Cassi Johnson's Grade 3 class went on a field trip to Tifft Farms.

The kids all went snowshoeing and then had a hands on lesson about the Iroquois Indians. The classes used wood & string to learn how to build a fire, make a drill, and try Journey Cakes. LS Elementary School Collects Mittens

Twinkle the snowman has lit up with joy because he is very proud to announce that the students of AJ Schmidt Elementary School have collected 243 items for their mitten tree. Twinkle is “AJ Schmidt Proud!” Through your generosity we have been able to collect cozy mittens, warm hats, gloves and snuggly scarves to help our neighbors.

The PTA has dropped off all the items at the VFW, which will then be donated to children and families within the Evans area. The winter items that we have collected will help to keep many children toasty warm during the chilly winter months. Thank you very much for opening your hearts and helping…there will be many warm families and grateful hearts this winter season.
