Brant P. Braeges 67 of Lima, NY, formerly of Angola, NY, entered into eternal rest April 25th 2018. Husband of the late Margaret Mercado. Brant was a Supply Chain Quality Engineer, entrepreneur, US patent holder and skilled furniture craftsman. He was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America , active in the Lima Historical Society, a past member of the Lima planning board and a volunteer at the Teresa House. He is survived by two brothers, Edward Dove and Robert Braeges and his wife Janet “Byrd” Braeges of Angola, NY A sister, Laurie (Braeges) Dombrowski and her husband David of North Tonawanda, NY. He is also survived by three nephews Joseph Dombrowski, Nathan and Dillon Braeges. Two Nieces Lena Dombrowski and Jeanne (Dombrowski) Steffen and her husband Billy Seffen along with three Great Nieces Sophie, Emily and Ellie. In addition to his loving friend Sandy Leavy, two Uncles and two Aunts, Millard Lonkey and James Lonkey along with his wife Aunt Judy. And Aunt Marion Bouck and multiple cousins. Southtowns Catholic School Drama Club

Students in the Southtowns Catholic School performed the play "Under the Freedom Tree". The play is adapted from the book by Susan VanHecke. It is the little-known story of the first contraband camp of the Civil War that was seen by some historians as the "beginning of the end of slavery in America." The first readings of the Emancipation Proclamation in the South happened beneath the sheltering branches of the tree now known as Emancipation Oak. Guided by Miss Jessica Bridge, the kids performed the play and made the props & scenery. Hitler put to death 11 million because of his belief in Aryan Supremacy. Pol Pot slaughtered 1/3 of Cambodia in the killing fields. All this and more was justified by atheistic evolution. Much more subtlety, we teach this same philosophy to our children in our public schools at taxpayer expense to this day. God rejects no one. The verse above gives insight into God’s love for all people equally. Evolution divides the “races” not God.

The school was located at the corner of Route 5 and Commercial Street in Farnham, N.Y. Nathan Tringali, a Junior at St. Francis High School of Hamburg NY will be a Delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Lowell, MA on June 25--27, 2018. The Congress is an honors-only program for high school students who want to become physicians or go into medical research fields. The purpose of this event is to honor, inspire, motivate and direct the top students in the country who aspire to be physicians or medical scientists, to stay true to their dream and, after the event, to provide a path, plan and resources to help them reach their goal. Nathan Tringali was nominated by Dr. Mario Capecchi, winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine and the Science Director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists to represent New York based on his academic achievement, leadership potential and determination to serve humanity in the field of medicine.
