Paul Zittel & Pure Country Band perform Concert at Brant Town Park

On August 1, 2016 the Town of Brant Monday Night Concert Series was pleased to sponsor PAUL ZITTEL & THE PURE COUNTRY BAND. Over 80 people were there to dance, sing and toe-tap along to some great Country and Gospel tunes. All the songs, both fast and slow brought out several of the best dancers. Hands and feet were sure a-clapping and a-tapping as Paul and Band played the 1953 Hank Williams song “Kaw-Liga! Those of us too shy to get out on the floor, enjoyed watching the lively dancers, but believe me - our hands and feet were certainly in time to the beat even though we remained seated. The two hours flew by on this perfect summertime evening. We were sad when the music ended and the Pure Country Band had to say “Good Night”.

Each of the four Monday Night Concerts have been attended by a dedicated and happy bunch of music lovers!

Monday August 8th. The Town of Brant Concert Program is partially funded through a Grant by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature; administered

Daniel S. Rickert formerly of Angola, NY, passed away Monday August 8, 2016 in Elderwood Health Care Facility of Hamburg, NY, he was 83. Dan was born December 30, 1932 In Allegheny, Pennsylvannia, son of the late Rebecca Flick and Harry Rickert. He enjoyed baseball, woodworking and had a lifelong interest in collecting various tools and unusual antiques. He retired from Penny Plumbing and Construction, in Angola after over 20 years of service, and moved to St. Columbans on the Lake, in Sheridan, NY. Dan will be greatly missed by his dear friends Linda(Tim) Feider of Angola, NY and Kurt(Julie) Maytum of Fredonia, NY, also predeceased by two dear friends Richard Panepento and William McSkimming.
