Katrina is a new member this year and has made quite an impression. The staff have seen great strides in Katrina since the beginning of the school year. She has developed a greater sense of patience, is quick to offer help, and is a genuine pleasure to be around. She is a second grader at A.J.S. Elementary, Mr. Renzo is her favorite teacher, and she really likes art class. At the Club, Katrina most enjoys playing Xbox in the games room. At home in her spare time, Katrina loves to play on her Kindle. Her favorite movie is Frozen, and her favorite song is “Counting Stars” by One Republic. When she grows up she would like to be a singer and dancer, and Katrina’s role model is Justin Bieber.
John was selected due to his overall good, positive nature. John is friendly to all, and he participates in a wide variety of the staff-led activities. John’s behavior while at the Club is exceptional. He is in fourth grade at J.T.W. Elementary where he likes math class. While at the Club, John’s favorite thing to do is play Xbox in the games room, and Mr. Dennis is his favorite staff member. In his free time, John loves to play with his LEGOS. John’s favorite thing to read is any book by Dr. Seuss and he his favorite movies are the Star Wars collection. John’s role model is his dad, and when he gets older he’d like to be a police officer
Angelina DeJoy is the Club’s Student of the Month. Angelina hasn’t been attending the Club all that long, but she has quickly racked up lots of Power Hour (homework) points for working hard on her assignments each day after school. At the Club her top activity is melty beads crafts in the art room. Her favorite thing to do at home is play with her American Girl doll. Angelina attends A.J.S. Elementary, she is in third grade, Mrs. Donovan is her favorite teacher, and she loves science class. Angelina’s favorite song is “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift, her favorite book is Critter Club, her role model is her older sister Josie, and when she grows up she would like to be a pharmacist.
Our Junior Staff of the Month is Morgan Quirk, a fifth grader at A.J.S. Elementary. Junior Staff work the Snack Shack and assist Club staff with chores and running activities. Morgan does a superb job waiting on customers and running Snack Shack, and she is always assisting staff in day to day tasks. Most often you will find Morgan in her favorite room of the Club (the art room) working on a various crafts. Away from the Club, Morgan likes to play outside. At school her favorite teacher is Mrs. Kauzala and her top subject of choice is math. Her favorite thing to read is Teen Magazine and her top music genre to listen to is pop. Morgan’s role models are her mom, dad, and grandparents, and when she gets older Morgan would like to be a veterinarian.
