Bury is a town which is part of Greater Manchester. It is on the River Irwell. Bury has a famous open-air market, that is renowned for local produce such as black pudding. It’s most famous resident was Sir Robert Peel, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, founder of the Metropolitan Police Service and the Conservative Party. King’s Lynn also known as Lynn, is a sea port and market town in the county of Norfolk in the East of England. It is situated 97 miles (156 km) north of London. It is where the famous Caithness glass is made. Luton is 50km north of London in the county of Bedfordshire. It was famous for it’s hat making and car plant. The Luton Carnival, which is held in May, is the largest one-day carnival in Europe. Milton Keynes in the county of Buckinghamshire is 72km from London. Milton Keynes is a new city in the centre of England. It is one of the most important cities in the area and boasts some of the best facilities the UK has to offer. The city has everything from culture to leisure, from sport to entertainment. In the centre of the city, you can find the most successful British theatre outside of London, an art gallery with free exhibitions of international art, and several interesting museums. Nottingham is located right in the centre of England in the East Midlands region. The city is 190km north of London and about 80km north of Birmingham. Historically, Nottingham has always been an important city. The legend of Robin Hood was based in the city and there are reminders of this heroic figure throughout the town. The city boasts a 17th Century castle, many beautiful Tudor buildings and Southwell Minster, which is one of England’s loveliest cathedrals. Nottingham is also renowned for its theatres, art galleries and the Victoria Shopping Centre. Peterborough is located in Cambridgeshire near the East Anglian coast, on the border with Lincolnshire and Norfolk. The city is 125km north of London and about 35km from Cambridge. Peterborough is a city rich in history. The Norman cathedral – built on the site of a Saxon abbey – is renowned in Europe for its stunning West Front and its painted nave ceiling. It contains the tomb of Katherine of Aragon, the first wife of Henry VIII. The city centre has developed into a regional shopping centre. The indoor Queensgate centre, voted amongst the best in Europe, compliments the older, tree-lined pedestrian shopping area. Peterborough is also a major centre for sport and recreation. Plymouth is a historic city on the south west coast of England. It is located in the county of Devon about 290 km from London. It is in a stunning location, built around one of the world’s great natural harbours and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The waterfront is always full of life and is the focal point of the town. Visitors can go to the National Marine Aquarium to discover more about the under water world or simply walk along the seafront past the numerous cafes and boutiques.

Spalding is a market town built on the River Welland in the South Lincolnshire Fens region. The town has been voted one of the best places to live in the UK and it is easy to see why. The town has a Georgian heritage and there are plenty of old buildings to admire including the beautiful Ayscoughfee Hall, set in 5 acres of picturesque walled gardens. There is a vibrant town centre, which is a friendly and attractive place to go shopping with over 200 shops. Given the mix of both independent shops and major national chain stores there is something for everyone. Wisbech is a prosperous town in Cambridgeshire. It is located in the Fens region in the East of England. Wisbech is well known for its Georgian architecture and the picturesque streets which are full of history. There is much to visit in the town including Peckover House, which is a beautiful Georgian mansion, elaborately decorated with an elegant wooden interior and a beautiful walled garden outside. Visitors can also visit the Yacht Harbour, take a walk along the river Nene or visit the quaint churches and historical monuments dotted around the town. There are also plenty of museums and theatres, as Wisbech claims to be the cultural centre of the Fens.

Afternoon ACtIvItIes And exCUrsIons Various sports e.g. swimming, tennis, badminton, table tennis, squash, etc. leisure activities e.g. bowling, laser games, ice-skating. There is a whole day excursion each complete week and trips to discover the area.

ACtIvItIes And exCUrsIons Skydiving, snowboarding, skiing, trampoline and rock climbing are some of the indoor activities included in the programme as well as outdoor cable ski, high ropes and go-karting. Two whole day excursions are included. London, Bristol or Manchester includes a tour of the well-known tourist sites and shopping, the other is to a theme park.

1 to 1 - 1 stUdent to 1 teACher (AGe 14-17) When lessons are not taking place, the host family will assist the student in discovering the town and the surrounding areas. This will present many opportunities for the student to put into practice their increasing knowledge of every day situations, written and spoken English. The students may also have some free time for other activities to be arranged by agreement with the host family. This programme is therefore designed for independent and self motivated students. The students will be given a bus pass for local travel. Please note this programme doesnâ€™t include any activities or excursions.

Day 2 : Tour of London in the footsteps of Banksy Day 3 : Visit The Tate Modern, the most visited modern art gallery in the UK. Day 4 : Graffiti workshop. Day 5 : A guided visit of the East End of London. Including Old Street, Brick Lane and Shoreditch, which are festooned with Street Art. Day 6 : A whole day visit to Camden Market. A unique vibrant market full of alternative stalls representing the diverse nature of London. Day 7 : Visit the Village Underground, a popular site for Street Art. Day 8 : Visit Covent Garden, The south Bank and time for shopping. Day 9 : Transfer to Bristol. En route stop off at Stonehenge, England’s largest prehistoric monument. Day 10 : Discover Bristol, the birthplace of Banksy. Visit Bristol Art Museum and St Nicolas Market. Day 11 : Visit to M Shed, is a museum all about Bristol. Explore the city through time: its places, its people and their stories. Followed by a walk through Nelson Street with a visit to ‘ See No Evil’, a street art project that is renowned the world over.

Visit all the major sites; Big Ben, Westminster, Buckingham Palace St Paul’s Cathedral etc, to learn all about the history of this vibrant historic city. Discover the alternative markets of Camden Town. Go shopping in Covent Garden passing by The Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, and The South Bank… Cardiff: Visit and discover the capital city of Wales. Visit Cardiff Castle, with its 2,000-yearold history; from the Romans to the present day. Visit the lively bay area etc Dublin: Visit the Guinness factory, known throughout the world. Walk around the energetic Temple Bar neighbourhood and along the river Liffey that runs through Dublin. Liverpool: Visit the Maritime and Slave Museum, to fully understand the history of this town. Visit the famous docks. Follow the Beatles trail through a visit to the Beatles Museum. On the way to Glasgow visit the magnificent Lake District. Glasgow: Visit the Riverside Museum, which through more than 3,000 objects takes you through the history of this city and transport. Walk around the university neighbourhood dating from 1451. Edinburgh: Visit the castle, which dominates the city. Walking tour of all the main sites, including The Parliament, its galleries and parks. A guided tour of the city based around its famous ghosts.

They also concentrate on preparing the students for their various visits.

trAnsportAtIon The students will either travel by coach or train and take a ferry between the UK and Ireland.

Enhancing skills sets at the post, wing, or guard position. Shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, rebounding, controlling angles in attack or defence positions, team play. We welcome players of all ability levels.

footbAll ACAdeMY 20 hours in physical and mental preparation for match playing. Individual and group skills. Dribbling, passing, feinting, ball control, defence and attack tactics, heading the ball, penalty taking and much much more.

tennIs ACAdeMY 16 hours in physical and mental preparation for match playing. Backhand and forehand strokes. Serving. Use of ball spin and general racquet technique. Singles and doubles matches. We welcome players of all ability levels.

CAble sKI ACAdeMY This programme offers a wonderful way to learn to water ski. The centre has a shallow water circuit round an island. Skiers are towed round the island at variable speeds. 5 sessions over a two week period of 90 minutes each. For beginners it is a very safe environment in which to learn. More expert skiers can learn advanced water ski techniques including mastering slalom and obstacle courses.

• Theatre workshops Students develop the whole range of theatrical skills, including diction and expression, body language, improvisation, character creation, and much more.

Curious to discover the secrets of the great magicians ? Do you ever wonder how they do it? This an opportunity to take part in a professional magic workshop. 6 sessions of a duration of 3 hours per session.

the proGrAMMe The programme includes learning the techniques used by magicians Of the”World of Magic” such as: card tricks, chameleon silks, disappearance of objects, incredible magic illusions, sleight of hand technique… These techniques, which require ability and concentration, help the students develop their self confidence and improve their communication skills with the “real world”. fRENch & GO-KARTING 5 half-days of go-karting, lasting two hours each. Students learn how to drive under the supervision of fully qualified instructors. Learn about the racing line and how best to maximize this, as well as the mechanics behind the engine. The track at Ch창tillon-sur-Indres is one of only 6 in France that are officially recognized by the French Federation for Go-Karting. Helmets, jump suits and gloves are provided. Note that the 2 half-day horse-riding activities are not included in this option.

fRENch & hORSE RIDING 5 half-days of horse-riding in total, lasting three hours each. Students, depending on their levels, learn to ride, to improve their technique, hacking, and are involved in the care and grooming of their horse. itineraries in Europe trAvEl & 6 group pArtiCipAtion Students travel by rail from city to city. Within each city local transport is used (bus, underground, tram, boat). Each participant is given a European rail travel pass. A local tour guide assists the students in discovering the fascinating history and culture of the city. The students, under the guidance of their group leaders, decide which visits correspond most their cultural interests. We aim at making the students active participants in this amazing adventure rather than passive tourists. The groups are kept small to ensure greater flexibility. lEssons & sChool sElECtion The student enrols into a secondary school, appropriate to their skill base. Anglophiles will choose the school based on their level of English and interests. They will be totally integrated into the school system and will take classes in three to four subjects. In England students at this level, normally take between 3 or 4Â subjects that they study in depth. Students are required to attend all the lessons they are timetabled for and it is their responsibility to ensure that they arrive on time and complete all homework assignments within the required time. They must take the same exams as their English classmates. It is essential that the student is motivated and willing to put in the time required to fully maximise this opportunity. housEKipping The centre consists of several types of accommodation. Your job will be to ensure that all rooms and apartments are ready for the guests on arrival and also maintaining daily cleanliness of the bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms etc.

CAtEring The restaurants on-site cater for 2,500 people per day.There are two positions available. • In the restaurant – meet and greet, taking orders and serving clients. Cleaning and laying the tables. • In the Kitchen – helping to prepare and cook, keeping the kitchen clean.

shop & supErMArKEt There are several types of shops on the site; ranging from a toy shop to a mini market. Your job will consist of receiving and stocktaking as well as shelf filling and sales.

funfAir There is a small funfair on site. Your job will be to greet the client, ensure all health and safety regulations are followed and maintain the flow of clients.
