From the House
By Marcelle Renkin, Program Coordinator
Here at the House we are once again ebbing and flowing with the waves of COVID-19 restrictions and trying to manage them the best we can to ensure that we are still able to deliver on our core business – connecting community and providing an inclusive space for community to come together.

We have some fantastic new courses on offer at the House, including ‘Ready Set, Dog!’ and puppy training with local behavioural animal specialist ‘Take the Lead’, and a character development workshop for young people by local animator and artist Scarlet Sykes Hesterman.
We are also once again offering an online ‘Learn to Draw’ class with the popular artist Donna Meyer. We continue to offer yoga, pilates, meditation and mindfulness, and our regular meet-up groups and playgroup when restrictions allow.
These courses and classes are a great way to get involved and meet other people in the community. Check out more detail in the Course Guide included here in NewsA ngle or see our website anglesea.org.au for more information including times and costs.
If there are any activities or events that you would love to see happening at the Community House, please get in touch and let us know! Zero Emissions Community Plan

Unfortunately the fantastic event we had set up to bring you in August, Zero Emissions Ideas Fest was not able to happen due to COVID lockdown restrictions. Zero Emissions Surf Coast worked hard to plan this event with the intent of getting community input into ideas around a sustainable zero emissions future for Anglesea, Aireys and surrounds.
You can still have your say about this issue by completing an online survey (via our website anglesea.org.au/uncategorized/ zero-emissions-ideas/) or pick up a postcard at the Community House or from around town to share your thoughts.
Ongoing community support
We are grateful to the support of our volunteers, Caitlin and Xavier, who have made our drop-in Computer Club accessible to those who need support using digital devices to get and stay connected with family, build skills, do personal business and access online activities and events.
Drop in to the Computer Club on Tuesdays from 1–3pm if you need any help with your computer, phone, tablet or laptop. During lockdown, give us a call to see if we can help you remotely.
Return of the fabulous Anglesea Twilight Farmers Market
