Artists Draw on Hope From COVID By Moreen Dainty
The artistic community in Victoria has had to dig deep to survive under COVID-19 restrictions. Down on the Surf Coast, regular exhibitions, markets and events were cancelled, disrupting the usual ways artists showcase and sell their work. Many of our local artists have shown resilience and ingenuity in the face of these challenges. We talked to some to find out how they have fared. The enormously popular Surf Coast Arts Trail went online this year. Instead of opening the doors of their homes, artists posted short videos showing Community Houses are for Everyone
