01 PDX International Airport TCORE Tenant Relocations Tenant Improvements | Retail
Necessitated by the PDX International Airport TCORE expansion in collaboration with ZGF Architects, this project consisted of coordinating the relocation of 30 tenant spaces over phased permit groups. The scope of work for each ranged from relocating existing furniture and providing new utilities to fully designed spaces and finishes. With the program of the Timberline Lodge retail space remaining the same, the primary focus was coordinating the refurbishment and relocation of existing elements along with custom finishes and detailing. Throughout the design of this space, I led the coordination and relocation of existing items, the design of custom wall graphics, and the production of construction documents through the permit revision. Additional efforts included: collaborating to complete multiple permit groups, coordination and management of indices throughout multiple permit groups, coordinating with consultants to execute details and graphics, and preparing graphics and presentations for client meetings.

Saalfeld Athletic Center - interior commons space
02 La Salle College Preparatory High School Saalfeld Athletic Center, Gymnasium Graphics, Athletic Center Phase 2 Planning & Design Education | Renovation
The work done for the school’s Athletic Center includes two phases of scope, the first being a large-scale renovation and addition to the existing Saalfeld Athletic Center; this included new locker rooms, offices, a fitness center, a multi-purpose classroom, and a commons area, as well as a new gymnasium floor and custom acoustical wall panels within the gym. The second phase will consist of a new Athletic Center that will be used for team practices and to host tournaments. My role consisted of collaborating with the team to complete the permit set of the first phase, leading the design and execution of the acoustical wall panels, and collaborating on the master planning and design of the phase two building. Additional efforts included: custom detailing, managing door and storefront schedules, completing renderings for client fundraising efforts, and preparing graphics and presentations for client meetings.

Program Proposal
Program Relationship Sketch
The goal of the Phase 2 athletic center was to provide additional practice space to reduce scheduling conflicts between different sports PROJECT GOALS & PRIORITIES programs, to have the ability to host basketball tournaments, and to provide additional storage close to the track and football field. The proposed design includes a new gymnasium with two separate basketball courts, a team room to be used by visiting schools, • Courtsspaces are main dedicated forpriority referees, restrooms, storage and a flex space. •
Easy access from visitor bench at football field/track to team room
For 2 of the athletic center, the building’s location on the site was driven by its adjacencies. The location provides a central • Phase Easy access from fields to storage connection of the newly renovated Phase 1 athletic center, the track and football field, and the existing parking area. Proposed site • Allow for flexiblethese use ofconnections additional space andaavoid duplicating program work to strengthen include dedicated outdoor gathering space at the building’s entrance that connects to the from Phase 1 a path to the La Salle bleacher seating and sideline, a path to the visiting teams bleacher seating and sideline, and phase 1 building, additional parking. The program layout follows the same strategy of connecting to adjacencies. The flex space and team room are located at the front of the site for a closer connection to phase 1, and the gymnasium and storage are located at the back of the site creating two main volumes that are tied together by circulation.

Athletic Center Phase 2 - Proposed Elevations, NTS The exterior material palette was proposed with the idea of introducing modern materials onto a campus of traditional brick buildings. The low volume that contains the building’s entrance is cladded in wood to match the main entrance of the phase 1 athletic center and the main school building entrance that was recently renovated. The gym volume is cladded in black metal panel and is then extruded outwards to create covered outdoor space. The extruded gym volume, along with wrapping the wood panel underneath the metal cladding, breaks down the large gym volume and ties it together with the entrance.

Site Image - Proximity to Lake
03 Lake Cabin Private Residence
Single-family Residential Located outside of the Olympic National Forest, this cabin was built as a place to seek refuge from the city. It sits upon a sloped terrain that takes you from the forest road down to a lake. The client asked for a modern approach to a traditional cabin, which was executed through the use of materials and detailing. Additionally, we were working within a variety of site planning constraints including setbacks from the water, setbacks from the road, and Forest Service restrictions such as height limitations and the building footprint not exceeding the square footage of the existing cabin on site. I collaborated with the project team through the schematic design phase and led the production of the construction documents. Additional efforts included: custom detailing, material studies, coordinating with structural consultants, and preparing graphics and presentations for client meetings.

04 Private Development Mixed-use
Feasibility Study The project consisted of proposing strategies for a mixed-use building for a private developer that were presented to the city of Camas, Washington. We proposed a 3-story apartment building with ground floor office space. I led the feasibility study, presenting multiple preliminary floor plans and parking diagrams, and completing research of the city’s zoning code and design standards. Additionally, I coordinated with the city of Camas’s building department to set up and prepare for a successful preapplication meeting.
