Artis Nimanis is one of the most recognized Latvian glass artists, known for his minimalist, functional designs that merge technology with craftsmanship. For over twenty years, Artis Nīmanis has pushed the boundaries of glass art, using advanced glassblowing techniques to create unique, handcrafted pieces. His innovative approach and experimentation with the latest technologies have established him as a prominent figure in the contemporary art world. Driven by a passion for capturing the essence of glass, Artis masterfully plays with light, tone, and form in the collections of an&angel.

Technque. The creative director has researched and experimented to master the nuances of mirroring technology. This advanced process treats materials in a vacuum environment with stainless steel or titanium, resulting in an ultra-thin, high-quality coating that is both food-safe and resistant to oxidation. This meticulous technique seamlessly combines cuttingedge technology with artistic craftsmanship, producing glassware that is not only functional but also visually stunning. The glass surface is given a mirror effect that, by bending light, creates an illusion of optical play.
