VIETNAM

BreakingNews!! BreakingNews!!

VIETNAM IS FOR JESUS!

God is moving mightily in Vietnam this is not a joke. It’s a reality check: He is already on the move. He is saving the lost, the least, and the left-out The forgotten are being remembered. The lost are being found, one by one The least are now being prioritized. God has strategies and the team has seen them firsthand. We’ve personally experienced His work Even with the tools we prepared, it was ultimately God’s ways that prevailed Vietnam is reachable. Vietnam is for Jesus. And what a privilege it is for us to be part of His mission and to be used by God in His wonderful work of saving His people in Vietnam.

"And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!*'

The team is composed of seven Expeditioners: three from Luzon (Eloisa, Racel, and JM) and four from Mindanao (Van, Melai, Lanie, and Steph) They were hosted by three young ILAW missionaries in Ho Chi Minh (Chen, Rhy, and Shobie). They also partnered with two YWAM-DTS staff members (Anh Son and Anh Binh).

“Bawat hakbang natin ay parang may ilaw sa ating mga paa, kaya nagbibigay ng liwanag sa kung saang lugar tayo mapunta Nakapagdeclare tayo, nakapag-redeem, nakapagtanim sa bawat nadadaanan natin. Kaya hindi nakapapagod yung lakaran.” - Ate Melai

Prayers where planted in almost all 12 Districts of Hochi Minh City.

“Intensyonal na magpapalinis ng sapatos para makapagconverse sa kanila, very effective. Imagine, ang galing ni Lord every morning during our devotion talagang nagppray ang bawat isa ng isang soul na maseshare’n ng gospel pero hindi lang iisa ang bigay ng Lord sa atin -Ate Racel

These university students were suppose to meet their professor that day for their research, but eventually he didn't show up Because of it, Jesus was shared to them, the God who always shows up! God orchestrated it!

Seven first year University student accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

This family leads the mercy ministry, they go to different streets generously giving foods to the homeless and to hospitals Yet, they don’t have jobs, but it is God whose sustaining both their family and their ministry

Pray for them for they were being persecuted in their place because of their faith.

“Grabe kami hinumble ng Lord, sa dami ng pwedeng lugar kung saan kami makakakita ng mga taong holding their bible, praying, worshipping the Lord sa buong Ho Chi Minh sa Rehab center pa. Indeed, He is moving mightily in the lives of the lost, least and the left out.” - Eloisa

There are more than 120+ patients (mostly drug addicts) but they knew Jesus and they have relationship with Him.

Like lighthouses standing firm in the dark, these three ILAW missionaries shine brightly in Vietnam, guiding lost souls safely to the hope of Christ Hearing their personal testimonies their struggles, victories, and daily walk of faith deeply moved us and reminded us of the vital need to continually pray for missionaries around the world

There are more than 10 souls who were led to accept Jesus.

Every single day of our journey in Vietnam was amazing. He guided us, never leaving our side His abiding presence was with us—whether we were on the streets, in cafes, in parks, buses, or trains. Yes, we had a ministry schedule, but God is never confined to a box He was constantly doing new things that amazed us

One of the biggest challenges we faced was the language barrier How could we communicate with people? But again, the Lord showed us His ways. He led us to the right people and gave us creative ways to connect One day at the park, we met a father and his daughter What began as a simple photo conversation turned into a meaningful exchange We prayed for the father, and he was so grateful; it was his first time experiencing something like that One of our team members even introduced Jesus to his four-year-old daughter.

NO LIES ! NO LIES!

During the holidays at Nam Lang University, we didn’t expect to find any students But when we reached one of the buildings, we discovered a group gathered there. The team was able to have one-on-one conversations, and some of the students were even led to Jesus. These are the ways of the Lord! Even in the park, despite our hesitation due to the presence of police officers, God gave us courage He brought people our way, and we were still able to share the gospel

Walking through the land of Ho Chi Minh was never just a walk it was a declaration Each step we took was a step of faith, declaring God's glory over the city Every step was a prayer: a cry for the breaking of strongholds, a plea for hope, healing, miracles, and redemption in this beautiful place Each step declared the impossible that one day, the Lord would fully open this nation to His light I praise the Lord for everything He has done. I praise Him for how He met me in this city in such a unique and personal way I praise Him for showing me that He is the true strategist not us, not our plans.

EVERY STEP OF

At the core of my 10-day mission in Vietnam, I embarked on a transformative journey that profoundly influenced both the community and myself Marching through the city in prayer, our goal was clear: to bless the land and disseminate God’s love Yet, amidst this sacred mission, I experienced God fortifying my spirit One evening, during our prayer walks through the streets, I received a powerful message from the Almighty a poignant reminder of the joy I once experienced while prayer walking in the mountains and valleys He affirmed His delight with the work our team and I were undertaking A heavenly delight to behold!

What may have appeared as mere walking in the physical realm was, in truth, a formidable spiritual battle. As 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 reminds us, “Though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh; the weapons of our warfare have divine power to demolish strongholds ” This mission illuminated the understanding that our actions wield extraordinary spiritual significance As warriors of faith, we must rise to our calling, acknowledging that each step we take can leave an indelible mark

GOD IS THE GOD OF STRATEGY

The task is huge, it is not easy but it is possible From walking under the heat of the sun to all the language barriers and the sense of risk and danger; I believe that God goes before us even before we set our foot on this nation; He is there preparing the land. God is the God of the strategy when we don’t know what to to, where to share and how to propagate the gospel in a land who didn’t know Christ, one highlight for me is our ministry with the Father and daughter at the park whose name is Nguyên Huy Khanh It wasn’t intentional but it is a divine encounter whom our God Himself set it up for us A simple photo turned to a conversation that eventually led him to know God through prayers

Since He cannot understand the English language , we need to communicate via google translate and it was then when God speak to me clearly that “IT IS NOT ALWAYS YOUR VOICE”

When we lose all the strategy, and every language has barriers it is God who will make a way for Him to encounter Him It was our writing capacity that God uses through translation God is the God of strategy, He is moving even in ways that we cannot imagine

May it be walking under the heat of the sun or sitting in the streets- our comfort comes from knowing that

JESUS IS PROCLAIMED that’s all that matters It is my hearts desire to keep on communicating and praying to those people we met and those missionary that we have

RADICAL STATEMENT RADICAL STATEMENT

One of the things I asked of the Lord before going to Vietnam was this: “Lord, with the little that I have, use it for Your glory ”

God taught me so much during this trip Here are just a few things I’ve learned:

1 He taught me not to focus on my own limitations

2 My report of a place reflects how much I truly know God 3 Breakthrough in my thinking comes when I look up to God

“He is the God of that city, and I believe He will raise up more workers and goers in the field to proclaim His name and to be the hands and feet of Jesus ”

And indeed, God blessed our feet to prayer walk and declare His blessings and breakthrough in parks, malls, hospitals, museums, buses, universities, and various streets across Ho Chi Minh City

He also blessed our mouths not just to converse with the locals, but to intentionally build relationships and proclaim the Gospel

4 If you have faith, you can see both farther and deeper Jesus is actively working and moving in the city we walk through

5. He’s not done yet. He is more than able to rescue people— every blind eye will see, every deaf ear will hear, and every stony heart will be transformed into a heart of flesh: one that responds.

Ventures of Van Ventures of Van Ventures of Van

My name is Van, one of the Vietnam- Wave 2 participants Aaaaand, I got offloaded in the airport!!!! This is the first challenge I faced before I could set foot on Vietnam. Anyhow, God rescued me from that point onward like He always does- for all of us First off, here's the verse that resounded in my mind since I got the chance to meet Vietnamese people and observe them, TheLordisnotslowinkeepinghispromise, assomeunderstandslowness.Insteadheispatient withyou,notwantinganyonetoperish,buteveryonetocometorepentance.2Peter3:9

It melted my heart as I realized how I could never really fathom the depth of God's love He really is patient, and He deeply desires for these people to heal and experience freedom that only Him can offer- eternal salvation This is my testimony, "not bringing dead people back to life" but just "getting a glimpse of God's kindness for people not of my tribe" Indeed, God's love goes beyond borders and beyond a limited mind can describe or imagine

Honestly, half of the time we had in Vietnam was spent on walking around the districts of Ho Chi Mihn City Later on, I realized Jesus had to walk his way to communities and places just to minister to people, he walked hundred of miles to reach out to those who were in need and preached the gospel As we walked, we also prayed For that, walking and praying will never be the same again

We merely evangelized to few people because of the language barrier but, every encounter with people was a moment for God to reveal His compassion and mercy for these people. Most times, I could testify that God ministered to me more than I could minister to these people

Going for a short mission trip is entering doors of opportunity to witness God's heart in a different and strange place And, yes, His heart is the same---His heart still cries out for salvation and reconciliation of the lost sheep to the Shepherd. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13: 8

It is safe to say that God will always welcome and empower those who willingly steps out from their comfort zone and represents His grace and love for the lost, least and left out

Vietnam’s

not a Game for JM Vietnam’s not a Game for JM Vietnam’s not a Game for JM

In many ways, that is also the story of Vietnam. Out of brokenness, beauty has risen. What the Lord is writing in this nation is a beautiful, powerful story of redemption

How amazing is our God, that He would allow me to be part of this unfolding narrative. Vietnam is easy to love because the Lord Himself loves Vietnam "Vietnam, Hindi pa Tapos "

Our mission trip was just the beginning of a greater journey The work of God in this nation is far from finished Yes, Vietnam may be spiritually dark, but every step of faith brings light to its cities. It is the Lord who walks with us through streets shadowed by sin and struggle But just as the walls of Jericho fell through prayer, so too does the darkness in Vietnam crumble through the power of the Holy Spirit

Once again, "Hindi pa tapos si Lord sa Vietnam."

Vietnam is not a game It is a mission, a calling, a place close to God’s heart and it must be close to ours too

From ELeader’s POV From ELeader’s POV From ELeader’s POV

Love is sweeter the second time around.

That’s how I would summarize this entire Expeditions trip

This time, I returned to Vietnam not just as a visitor, but as someone who once stepped into this land as a first-time missionary and now came back leading a team to explore it once more From unfamiliar ground to a place that now feels like home, God truly did sweeter, deeper things this time Vietnam felt warmer, more loving richer in connection and purpose. All I can say is this: God heard the prayers we lifted before, and He is still listening now

I praise Jesus for allowing me to walk again in His beautiful city and for breaking my heart once more for this nation I thank God for walking with our team as we planted small seeds of prayer ks and museums to hospitals, streets, train stations, buses, ss. He led us directly to the people who needed to hear His her and daughter in the park… the grieving mother who street… the university student longing to make her parents

I met on the bus None of these encounters were random ments God’s way of saying,

“Look, My daughter. I love broken people.”

tangible on this trip Meeting and encountering the nded me: God has not forgotten them In fact it feels

ratitude to the church that sent us, prayed for us, pported us throughout this journey

A Expeditions for giving us the opportunity to be part of this mission

en, Rhy, and Shobie thank you for warmly hosting ourneying with us in the field

To the YWAM-DTS staff, thank you for your partnership and support during our ministry times

To our families, thank you for standing behind the "yes" we gave to God Your love and encouragement meant everything

And above all, to God thank You for being a missionary-sending God. You are the reason we go. You are the One writing the story. To You be all the glory.

Let us continue to intercede for Vietnam:

Pray for our ILAW missionaries Chen, Rhy, and Shobie as they pioneer a new church and faithfully serve the community.

Pray for the ministries they are about to launch, that God would provide wisdom, favor, and open doors.

Pray for the local believers, that they would be bold and unshakable in sharing the gospel

Pray for the salvation of the entire nation of Vietnam, that every heart would come to know the love and truth of Jesus. Habakkuk 2:14 Habakkuk 2:14 Habakkuk 2:14

For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
