Therapy on Wheels is creating 200kph+ smiles Dealing with the anxieties surrounding cancer diagnosis then compounding it with life’s daily stresses, can take its toll on not only a patients’ recovery process but on the mental wellbeing of the entire family. Therapy on Wheels is a fully tax deductible charity, bringing the motorsport experience and community together to provide the kind of support and inspiration that keeps the whole family smiling.

While being strapped into the seat of a 200kph+ Supercharged HellCat Mercedes Benz drag race car may not seem like therapy, there’s a lot more to motorsport than just the squeal of tyres and roar of engines. Adrenaline based activity has long been used to increase endorphins, in turn aiding in the decrease of stress, depression and anxiety.

Simply sharing time, experiences, laughter, and stories behind the scenes, with our supportive motorsport family can equally allow you to recharge those emotional batteries with a big smile.

Helping the Whole Family Every cancer diagnosis is unique and every journey is different, and when you’re feeling stressed or anxious your physical health suffers, your work or school life suffers, and your relationships suffer.

Caring for someone, or feeling helpless while you watch a relative or friend go through cancer can cause a huge amount of stress, and many carers actually suffer from a higher stress level than the person they are caring for.

It’s important to recognise the benefits of taking time away to release those built up emotional pressures. Therapy on Wheels believes that looking after your own mental health following a cancer diagnosis is just as important - for both the patient and their loved ones - as fighting the illness itself.

Andy Kahle is a lady who doesn’t let anything stand in her way, so following the diagnosis of aggressive breast cancer shortly before her 40th birthday merely caused her to delay her aim of becoming a drag racing driver. But during their difficult and stressful journey, Andy and her husband Mick found solace in being connected with motorsport, finding the community spirit gave them both the ability to recharge their emotional batteries.

The inner strength gained helped her mentally & physically “win” over breast cancer, allowing her to also win her first drag racing trophy in her very first drag racing competition, becoming the fastest female in Super Sedan in Western Australia.

It’s this passion and community that Andy and the whole team at Therapy on Wheels now share, through track and race day experiences, car and community shows, corporate events, school and group talks, team volunteering and Andy's own book.

Full Competition Racing On track spectator and pit bay exposure with the additional options of display flags, giveaways, commentator mentions, photo opportunities, live social feeds and even the ability for a full behind the scenes and on track experience.

Passenger Rides Utilise our existing passenger ride events or request your own corporate event. Passenger rides can be great prizes for marketing competitions, corporate incentives, or the perfect way to give back to the community.

Interactive & Static Displays The Mercedes is available for open days, community events, showroom displays, trade show attractions, fundraisers and more.

Talks & Presentations Andy shares her passion and educates about the importance of early breast cancer detection to corporates, fundraisers, schools and clubs. While presentations are customised to the audience, they provide inspiration and the knowledge to find focus through adversity.
