Brisbane’s property market finished December 2025 strongly, with solid buyer competition leading into the Christmas break. As expected, January 2026 brought a brief seasonal slowdown in activity, with Newmarket recording no sales for the month However, prices proved resilient as buyers returned quickly and acted decisively on quality homes Kicking off in January, an influx of buyers re-entered the market after the festive season, eager to secure a home for 2026.
This renewed momentum was evident in the upturn in open home attendance, with standout sales such as 54 Carberry Street, Grange achieving $2,900,000 Buyer activity is expected to continue rising through February as purchasers get their ducks in a row and move confidently into the year ahead
