INTRODUCTION
The chairs in our collection embody comfort, craftsmanship and timeless design. Essential pieces of modern living, chairs have the ability to define and enhance the spaces they occupy.
Whether in search of designs that represent a rich legacy of traditional woodworking techniques, ones sculpted to embrace the body, or pieces that have been brought to life through years of research and material innovation, our carefully curated collection is a testament to the meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality that defines &Tradition.
Each design serves as a tribute to the diversity of creativity, from classic pieces embedded with history to contemporary creations that signify modern sensibilities.

IMPACT
Verified high environmental performance
A number of chairs in our collection carry the EU Ecolabel certification which ensures higher durability, design for disassembly and repair, responsible material sourcing and controlled use of chemicals along the product’s entire life cycle.
Browse our list of EU Ecolabel certified product here.
Responsibly-sourced wood
One of the most used materials in our chair collection is wood, with a large portion of our designs using it as their primary material or featuring it as an accent. We mainly use oak, teak, ash, beech, and walnut.
95% of the wood and paper-based products we sell are FSC® certified. We prioritise FSC® certified sourcing to prevent overconsumption and biodiversity loss, in addition to ensuring the wellbeing of forest-dependent communities.
Recycled plastic
Plastics combine unique characteristics like durability, strength, and flexibility; however, they are not biodegradable and the waste they create should be managed responsibly.
Our Rely chairs use strictly post-consumer recycled plastic from discarded white goods, repurposing waste material. Each Rely dining chair repurposes 3.4kg of discarded plastic, each armchair – 5.1kg, and each barstool – 1.8kg.
Impact considerations - Upholstery
Our upholstery collection offers a selection of textiles chosen for their purpose, quality, material composition, longevity, and high performance.
Several of the textiles in our offering carry the EU Ecolabel certification based on a total life cycle evaluation, confirming their compliance with leading circularity principles and high workplace standards in cut, make and trim facilities.

ALLWOOD
Anderssen & Voll
Rooted in their Norwegian design ethos and use of natural materials, Torbjørn Anderssen & Espen Voll embarked on a journey to create a light and comfortable wooden chair that seamlessly marries traditional craft with a contemporary and fresh presence. Made from a combination of solid wood, laminated parts and oak plywood, Allwood demonstrates a variety of techniques that exemplify their commitment to quality and the material at hand.

Allwood

“The basic initial parameters were actually derived from the principle of vertically stacking – a straight up and down base with and open seat.” comments Torbjørn Anderssen of Anderssen & Voll.
To further enhance the stacking feature, the design studio expanded the range to include the AV35 trolley. Developed in corresponding materials, the trolley allows easy transportation of up to twelve stacked Allwood chairs.

BETTY
Thau & Kallio
The very first Betty chair to enter our collection and the foundation for all following designs, the stackable TK1 side chair comes in two variants: one with a seat made from exposed webbing made from natural linen fibres, and another with a solid wooden seat. The range has continued to develop over time, with further iterations including upholstered seats, benches, barstools and armchairs.
Betty chair family

A combination of traditional woodworking techniques and modern sensibilities, the first Betty design was made as a private commission that would serve to welcome guests as they arrived and mingled in the Betty Nansen theatre in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. Delicately uncovering the nuances within Nordic design languages, the now comprehensive collection is an expression of its designers and their respective Danish and Swedish roots.

CATCH
Jaime Hayon
When Jaime Hayon began working on Catch, he sketched a man with open arms. The design that followed was a direct translation of his initial vision – a chair that offers a warm embrace. The very first piece to enter our collection from our now long-standing collaborator Jaime Hayon, his signature aesthetic was present from day one. The Catch series has since grown to include armchairs with legs made from solid wood, bent steel or a swivel base, as well as a bar chair, a counter chair and two lounge chairs.

As Catch has developed to meet contemporary needs over the years, its strong visual identity has remained the same. Easily adaptable, its form can serve anywhere from hospitality settings to professional workspaces.

DAYSTAK
Robin Day
The Daystak chair holds a significant place in Robin Day's design history. Standing as one of his earliest creations for British furniture company Hille, it was envisaged in 1951 shortly after he and Clive Latimer won first place in the storage unit category in the International Low-Cost Furniture competition, organised by MoMA, New York in 1948.

Daystak
Beech

Today, the Daystak side chair is offered in two original versions: an all-beech variant, alongside a second variant which includes a beech frame with the addition of a walnut veneer applied to the front of the backrest and top seat for a dual-toned, contemporary aesthetic. The chair’s legs meet in the centre of the seat to create a striking A-formation –a defining feature which serves functionally as the pieces stack in numbers of up to 5.

Daystak
Exhibiting Robin Day's dedication to craft, the Daystak Side Chair's complex construction belies its visual simplicity and minimalist mid-century silhouette. A blend of solid wood and laminated veneer elements bestows the chair with an ergonomic profile and a subtle yet sturdy flex that allows for increased comfort.

Sami Kallio
Inspired by the Scandinavian heritage of design and furniture craftsmanship, the In Between chairs are a result of Sami Kallio’s solid grounding in traditional woodworking techniques and his eye for ingenious detail. The interplay between positive and negative space is at the core of the In Between chairs.
“I’m fascinated by a product’s form and presence in a room. How are the gaps in the design perceived? It’s all about balance, distance and proportion.” comments Sami Kallio.

LOAFER
Space Copenhagen
The SAS Royal Hotel turned to Space Copenhagen founders, Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, to create a design that would parallel the grandeur of its interior architecture. What began with a sofa progressed into a family of lounge pieces under the name Loafer. As its name suggests, the Loafer lounge chair and dining chair are for unwinding and reclining – designed so that you will want to linger a little while longer.

“The SAS Royal Hotel lobby is an essential part of their legendary interior - it’s enormous and elegant. We wanted to design furniture that would create a sense of intimacy in this very open space” comments Bundgaard Rützou.

PAVILION
Anderssen & Voll
The Pavilion series takes its name from Langelinie Pavilion - an iconic, multipurpose venue that overlooks Copenhagen’s waterfront, just a stone's throw from the Little Mermaid sculpture. The challenge was to design a stackable chair that would meet the needs of mass-seating arrangements. The architectural inspiration is deeply embedded in the Pavilion range, which continues to evolve while staying true to its own distinct design language.

The Pavilion chairs have an airy feeling that comes together throughout the series through a combination of form-pressed veneer and bent steel tubing.
