TEAMWORK, FUNDRAISING AND A LOOK AHEAD
I want to start this month’s message by thanking each and every team member for helping organize activities and participate in Team Appreciation Week 2025.
The week was an absolute success, with engagement at all our homes It made me proud to see the level of camaraderie shown between team members. And, while the competition was tight, Andrews of Summerside was 2025's Most Photogenic Home The team’s elaborate photo set-ups were well thought out and well executed, which garnered them the most likes on the Andrews Rockstar page I also want to extend a thank you to Jessica Gauthier for being such a sport with photos.
I also want to congratulate Cathy Perry on her recent retirement after 25 years with Andrews Cathy first joined Andrews of Summerside in January, 2000. Over the course of her career she worked as a caregiver and a program coordinator before settling into her most recent role in administration Cathy made a positive impact on the lives of our residents and her fellow team members throughout her career We wish her the best of luck in all her future endeavors.
In addition to being team appreciation week, May was also our annual fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Society Our ProTem and Andrews teams did an amazing job again this year of helping raise funds for this important cause. I’m happy to announce we raised $6,376, including matched funds from Andrews Senior Care ProTem raised $1,998, donated in addition to being a primary sponsor of the Moncton IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s Alzheimer’s and dementia have an outsized impact on the lives of our residents and their families and our support for the Alzheimer’s Society, while being an excellent organization, also demonstrates our commitment to our community.
