Andrews of Park West resident Brenda Pineau has a special connection to Andrews Senior Care – one that goes all the way back to the 1980’s.
Brenda, now 75, started working as an RCW at the original Andrews home on Brighton Road In those days Andrews was owned and operated by found Doreen Andrews and her brother Errol
Brenda remembers those days fondly.
“It wasn’t much different than now, ” she said “It was nice All the residents we had, they were very nice and they were happy there I enjoyed it very, very much ”
Brenda worked at the home for five years and got to experience doing a variety of tasks. “We did all the cooking and the laundry,” she said “We did everything ”
Brenda eventually went on to work as an RCW at other senior care homes However, four decades later, she is back at Andrews, this time as a resident and only a short 15-minute walk from the original home on Brighton Road
“It feels different,” she said “I never thought I’d be back It was pretty neat, it was ”
