We had lots of fun at ProTem this past month. We decorated for Christmas, visited Wheaton’s Christmas displays, did some baking, got our Christmas card photos done, painted each other’s protraits and honoured our veterans with a poppy craft.

All our homes held Remembrance Day services in November, in coordination with the Legion We have a number of veterans, as well as residents who were impacted by war as civilians, living at our homes and honouring Remembrance Day is very important to all of us at Andrews Senior Care

A number of Andrews of Stratford residents were in the audience at the opening of the Poppy Project at Stratford Town Hall Iris Rogers was recognized by the Town for her contributions crocheting poppies

A special thank you to all our volunteers who make each and every day at Andrews Senior Care so special Your dedication, generosity and kindness are greatly appreciated We hosted our annual volunteer dinner for our Charlottetown-area volunteers recently Chef Terry prepared a special meal that included: butternut squash soup, filet mignon and lobster served with whipped potatoes, carrots and asparagus and bread pudding for dessert. The talented MacDonald sisters were the evening’s entertainment.

Briana, a fourth-year kinesiology student at UPEI, has been leading exercise classes two days a week for the past month. Briana started with Andrews of Stratford through a partnership with Spinal Cord Injury P E I

The classes have been fun, educational and residents even learned a few new ways of moving their bodies
