I want to start by congratulating all our homes for hosting their family barbecues this summer
Family barbecues were a big part of the summer social calendar at Andrews in years past and it’s amazing to see them in full swing again
These events take a lot of planning and effort on behalf of the homes but they are worth it. The residents and their families sincerely appreciate these parties and they offer a rare opportunity for families, residents and team members to mingle all in one place
Thank you to all the team members involved in making these events happen. Likewise, congratulations to all our homes for doing well in your annual provincial inspections
This is another area where we succeed only when we work as a team. Our consistent success in provincial inspections is a testament to that teamwork It’s one thing to be able to nail a single event but our teams prove day in and day out why Andrews is a top choice for Islanders when it comes to senior care
This is a very interesting time at Andrews! Following the positive news of our Accreditation, construction on the expansion at Andrews of Charlottetown is going well with work expected to wrap up in October. Hiring for the new LTC wing is underway and a link for team members interested in applying internally will be sent out soon We intend to open to residents in January 2027
We’ve had the fortune of being featured in The Guardian and CBC recently for a number of positive news stories, including Accreditation, a resident at Andrews of Park West who started her career at the original Andrews on Brighton Road 40 years ago, as well as the two sisters meeting up at Andrews of Stratford
Thank you to everyone who helped make these stories possible It’s amazing to be able to share our senior-focused good news stories with so many people. I hope to see you at our Family Day See details on the following page
Happy summer!
Sincerely,
