Josh is a caring, motivated and diligent team member

He has an excellent rapport with our residents and is always willing to help where and when he’s needed We are glad to have him at Andrews of Parkhill

Josh began working as a caregiver at Andrews in March, 2023, after spending some time with us on a job placement from the Career Development Institute

While he studied to be a social worker, Josh said his career goals changed during work placement.

“I can’t get enough of the place,” she said of Andrews of Parkhill “I can put a smile on (a resident’s face) and know they had a good day because I was there ”

Outside of work, Josh enjoys gardening, a pastime he picked up while working as a horticulturalist at Kool Breeze Farm While he tends to stick to standard garden fare like watermelons and tomatoes, he’s open to growing anything winner for April is Emmah

Emmah exemplifies all of our core values She is caring and respectful to our residents and always willing to help her team members We are lucky to have her as part of the Andrews of Summerside team

Emmah first started working as a caregiver at Andrews in 2022 Prior to joining us, she worked in a local café

She’s always been passionate about caregiving and brings that mindset to the job every day

“I love my job,” she said

“When I come to work, it feels like a second family.

The residents talk to you, they ask you about your days It’s very rewarding

It’s a very loving environment ”

When she’s not at work, Emmah enjoys relaxing with her friends and taking her dog Tetley for walks

Darlene is a great asset to the Andrew of Charlottetown team She's excellent with our residents and is always willing to help where needed She often assists Heather, our program coordinator, with activities

Darlene has been a caregiver with us for 25 years Prior to joining Andrews, she worked as a bank teller and in child care

For Darlene, senior care is something of a family business Her mother and sister both spent 30 years of their lives working in care settings

"I enjoy (the residents) company, " she said "I enjoy doing things for them and helping them " When she's not at work, Darlene enjoys crossstitching, spending time with family and hanging out at her cottage near Oyster Bed Bridge winner for April is Deidre Perrot.

Diedre is amazing with the residents and always willing to help her team members We are fortunate to have her as part of the Andrews of Straford family

Diedre, a graduate of Holland College’s Registered Care Worker program, first started working as an RCW in 2021 Prior to joining us, she worked for two years in a similar role at a care home in Belfast, P E I For her, the best part of her day is spending time with the residents “Knowing that we ’ re part of their family (is rewarding),” she said “I see them more than I see my own family ”

In her spare time, Diedre enjoys exploring different trails with friends and cooking. Her favourite dish to make is chicken alfredo

Donna always keeps residents in mind and focuses on personcentered care. She’s always willing to go the extra mile We are fortunate to have her at Andrews of Park West Donna has been working with Andrews of Park West as a caregiver, shift supervisor and preceptor for incoming caregivers for more than 10 years “I always wanted to work in care, since I was a kid,” she said, adding she especially enjoys working in senior care “I love coming to work ”

Her commitment to care extends beyond the doors of Park West It’s not uncommon for Donna to take home residents’ clothing or garments that need mending and fix them up herself
