Every month our team and residents recognize one team member for showing exceptional care winner for March is Brenda Shred

Brenda always has a smile on and approaches every task with a positive mindset She’s great with the residents, always doing their hair or nails, taking time to make them laugh and listening to their stories We are lucky to have her at Andrews of Parkhill

Brenda first started working as a caregiver at Andrews one and a half years ago

Prior to joining our team, she spent two years as a Personal Support Worker at a long-term care home in Ontario

She said the best part about working in senior care is getting to spend time with the residents on a daily basis

“I love getting to know them on a personal level,” she said “Having that rapport with them ”

Outside of work, Brenda enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as going hiking Her two favourite spots to hike in P E I are the Devil’s Punchbowl and Cavendish Beach winner for March is Amandeep Kaur

Amandeep is a plea work with She’s alw y willing to help when and where needed, is compassionate toward our residents and shows genuine care and concern toward her team members We are fortunate to have her at Andrews of Summerside

Amandeep first started working as a caregiver at Andrews last year Prior to joining our team, she worked as a dispatcher While her background is finance, she adapted to working in senior care very quickly “I’ve never had this kind of job,” she said. “I really like the residents They’re a part of my life now I really like their company (They) feel like grandparents ” who is always willing to go the extra mile He has a great rapport with the residents, is helpful and cheerful to everyone at Andrews of Charlottetown help where and when she’s needed She’s great with the residents and her team members alike We are lucky to have her Alex first started working at Andrews of Stratford four years ago Prior to joining out team, she worked as a baker and housekeeper She currently works as out community care shift supervisor

When she’s not at work, Amandeep enjoys being with friends, traveling and spending time in nature.

Anas first started working as a caregiver with us in 2022 In addition to his role as caregiver, he also occasionally helps out with our dietary team As an example of his willingness to go above and beyond, Anas recently attended a morning appointment with a resident despite having just worked an overnight shift.

“I love getting to know the residents and helping them any way I can, ” she said “I enjoy being there for them ”

Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with friends, family and her two cats Lily and Sirius

Our Above and Beyond winner for March is Fatoumata Keita

Fatoumata is a dedicated team member who consistently goes above and beyond for our residents and her team members We are so happy to have her as part of our Park West family Fatoumata first started working as a caregiver with Andrews one and a half years ago Prior to joining Park West, studied business administration at the University of Prince Edward Island

For her, the best part of her days is spending time with the residents “I enjoy interacting with the residents,” she said “Taking care of people is rewarding ”

In her spare time, Fatoumata enjoys relaxing at home, watching YouTube videos and catching up on her rest
