Fate can be a funny thing. Take the case of Dawn Marie Tramontano and Steven Parrott. Both of them were in deep with their respective restaurants and hospitality industry jobs. They both wanted to change their professional directions and it was during one of those sudden moments that their paths collided and changed their professional trajectory.

Parrot, a Team Leader of Century 21 Limitless, based in Davol Square in Fall River, connected with Tramontano during a chance encounter. The latter had recently separated from her restaurant job and planned to take the summer off. She wanted her new endeavor to enable her to spend more time with her son. When the two of them met, it was Parrott asking Tramontano if she would be interested in becoming a Realtor. Once she accepted his job offer, it has become a wonderful match in real estate heaven.

Steve provides Realtors with the systems and processes to be successful agents - he has a team of eight, including herself. The agency serves most of Massachusetts and Rhode Island in partnership with Kyle Seyboth of Century 21/The Seyboth Team, who is based in East Providence, RI. They handle residential and commercial properties and have been busy learning and educating themselves and their customers on the changing landscape of home buying and selling. Their office serves mostly Massachusetts and is one of Kyle’s nine offices that serve Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Tramontano said the counsel she receives from Parrott

“Steve has been all about education and driving us to be as well-informed and knowledgeable, as possible, with regards to the industry and real estate sector. There is so much to learn, but our leadership team is always willing to teach us something new or different. I have learned so much in such a short time, it’s been a whirlwind.”

“I met Steve while he was showing me a multi-family about nine months ago. My appointment was actually originally with Kyle, but his schedule changed, and Steve covered my appointment. See, it was fate!” she said.

Indeed, just a year after learning the ropes and earning her Realtor’s license, Tramontano has been shadowing Parrott and other Realtors to understand the business. Her days can take her to Central Massachusetts one day and Westerly the next. She enjoys the pace of each day and loves to learn more about the industry and the diverse clientele she serves.

Because of their similar backgrounds, Parrott and Tramontano connected on a different level. That gave them insights on handling tough situations because their experiences waiting on customers and dealing with adverse issues, make them more in tune with the solutions. While they are quick to point out their past doesn’t guide their future, it does give them an edge and level of understanding most realtors lack.

Tramontano has more time to spend with her son. That was something the restaurant industry could not provide to her because of the changing hours and needs.

“Although we are all independent agents, we are all bound by a team that is driven to succeed,” she said. “We are personally and professionally committed to making our clients happy and satisfied with our way of doing business. This is what I enjoy doing, seeking opportunities to create memories. Steve is all about providing value to our clients and building relationships thru applying the ‘hospitality mentality’.”

As for the real estate market, Dawn Marie says she foresees the market will begin to shift as prices for homes plateau in the next six months. While it has been a crazy time for sellers, who could start a bidding war simply by putting a “For Sale” up on their lawn, she says the market will change. Meaning, you will stop seeing homes being sold for tens of thousands of dollars over asking price. The call for open houses will continue to be high and the summer will be a great time to see what is available for purchase.

Tramontano has been a Realtor since December and has already closed five deals with two under contract. Her one- year anniversary with Steve happens this August. Dawn Marie shadowed him for four months prior to getting her Realtor’s license. Both Steven and Dawn Marie are licensed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Looking back, she is proud of what she has accomplished in such a short time.

“I can’t believe what has happened over the last several months. I went from not knowing what was going to happen next to helping people live out their own dreams. There has been so much to learn, do and see. Steve is a wonderful mentor and teacher. I am learning from the best, who are so forthcoming on how to duplicate their success,” she said.

Steve Parrott has over 40 years experience in the hospitality and restaurant industries and has a niche for serving clientele in the business industry. Steve launched his real estate career in 2005, where he began his specialization in commercial real estate. Having owned seven restaurants of his own, Steve specializes in applying his expertise and market knowledge to assist in the sales and purchases of commercial offices, industrial spaces, 0px retail and multi-family properties that consistently exceed the expectations of his clients.

Century 21 Limitless is a Fall River Real Estate Brokerage Office operated by Kyle Seyboth, Bruno Pereira and Drew Carline. Serving most of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, they handle residential and commercial properties and have been busy learning and educating themselves and their customers on the changing landscape of home buying and selling.

Tramontano said she looks forward to speaking with potential buyers and sellers about their property.
