Iestyn is now preparing for a second season at senior level with pre-season in full swing
He said: "Pre-season training has been good and it’s been great to get back into it after a long break and join up with everyone again
"We have been working on our fitness, as we are aiming to improve in that aspect for the up and coming season
"Being back at training makes me look forward to the new season and to see our improvements as a team "
After finishing third in the Ardal South East last season, promotion is very much the target for Undy this year.
Speaking about the club’s ambitions, Iestyn commented: "As a club we are still aiming for promotion next season
"We were unlucky last time around to have not gone up, due to losing silly games that we shouldn’t have and a couple of injuries to the squad as well
"I think this season we will be able to learn from our mistakes as a team and work on them to gain promotion "
Today's friendly against Newport County is always one of the highlights of the season at the Causeway
Speaking about the game, Iestyn added: "I am excited to play against the County
"It is a good experience for us as players to play against a professional side, but also to play in front a big crowd as it makes the game more exciting for both teams."
