LAS MITRAS Hotel and Museum

Date Location Area Training Partner

Aug - Dec 2023 Cerro de las Mitras Monterrey, Nuevo León 1060 m2 CEMEX México

Las Mitras, a project that combines the typologies of hotel and museum based on a system of counterweights, which arises from the distinctive topography of its location—the quarry. The project is conceived with the purpose of envisioning future cities and identifying a novel site that can be repurposed and restored for functional use

Las Mitras is part of a master plan inside the quarry, which proposes a series of mixed-use buildings connected through sectors proposed for quarry remediation.

110 m

The project was executed in a distinctive area situated at one of the elevated sections within the quarry, notable for its intricate variations in both elevation and slope

TELIER Pavilion point of sale

Date Location Area Training Partner

Feb - Jun 2022 Tenancingo de Degollado, Estado de México 74 m2 MASS Design Group

Telier, a commercial establishment dedicated to the exhibition and sale of the typical crafts from Tenancingo, rebozo. The project seeks to encourage the dissemination of artisanal work to integrate into the collective memory of visitors and thus become an architectural medium that strengthens cultural identity by dedicating a space for people to meet and get closer to artisanal creation.

Local craftsman Luis Rodríguez

Understanding the rebozo as a detailed piece that demands to be appreciated closely gave rise to the gesture of taking itself as the main element of the space, starting from a sensitive intervention.

The main intention is to conceive a piece in which wood craftsmen can intervene in the process of creating the premises; conceiving a sculpted architecture almost like a craft. .

MH Family Housing

Date Location Area Training Partner

Aug - Dec 2022 San Bartolomé Tlatelulco, Estado de México 200 m2 Zero Consorcio Inmobiliario

MH is a housing typology designed for the future of homes, conceived as a flexible space that allows users to adapt each area according to their particular needs and preferences. This flexibility translates into a personalized living experience that prioritizes privacy and versatility. It highlights the elimination of interior barriers and the fusion of the limits between interior and exterior space, with the aim of creating a connection between the user, the natural environment.

Easily adapting to changes in residents' lifestyles over time was the starting premise. This fact made it essential to redefine how we inhabit spaces based on the morphology and architectural components that constitute the home itself.

The above led to connecting with the natural environment from the closest niche, which is the home, and making the heart of the project a green and private space.
