levamos años pidiéndole demasiado a nuestras casas. Que el salón sea zona de estar por la mañana y despacho por la tarde, que el comedor acoja tanto una cena con amigos como los deberes del cole, que una sola habitación sirva de cuarto de invitados, gimnasio y trastero según el día. No siempre lo conseguimos, y no es (solo) una cuestión de metros: es que seguimos amueblando las casas como si la vida dentro de ellas no cambiara nunca, con muebles pensados para una única función y un único lugar, fijos de por vida. Ahí es donde entra la decoración modular, la tendencia que más fuerza está cogiendo en 2026. No se trata de un estilo decorativo, ni de una paleta de colores ni de un tipo de material, sino de una manera distinta de entender el mobiliario: piezas que se mueven, se combinan y cambian de función según lo que necesitemos en cada momento, como el sistema de estanterías de String Furniture que abre este artículo. Mesas, estanterías y almacenaje que cambian de forma El resto de la casa también se beneficia de esta lógica modular. Así, mesas, estanterías y sistemas de almacenaje son grandes aliados de esta tendencia. Las mesas extensibles o plegables se ajustan al número de comensales sin ocupar espacio de más el resto de la semana, como ocurre con este modelo de Bizzotto que, gracias a sus extensiones, pasa de modo trabajo a modo comedor en un instante. Las estanterías por módulos crecen, se reducen o cambian de composición según lo que haya que guardar en cada momento, ya sean libros, plantas o cajas que solo se usan una vez al año. Y los sistemas de almacenaje configurables —cajones, baldas y puertas que se combinan a medida— evitan tener que elegir entre un armario demasiado grande o uno que se queda pequeño en cuanto cambian las circunstancias. Cuando los propietarios le encargaron al Estudio de Interiorismo Alberto Torres el proyecto de amueblamiento y decoración de esta vivienda de casi 200 m2 en Chamberí, uno de los barrios de moda de Madrid y de los más selectos de toda España, la finalidad era hacerla más atractiva y deseable para un comprador actual, quien además de buscar zona y metros, desea una casa que transmita estilo, amplitud y calidad de vida. Tonos claros, materiales naturales, textiles suaves y piezas de líneas limpias contribuyeron a crear una estética neutra, elegante y contemporánea. «El interiorismo estratégico puede influir directamente en la percepción de valor. Queríamos que cualquier persona que entrara en la casa percibiera orden, calma, luz y una forma de vivir muy apetecible», explica David González, responsable de este proyecto orientado a la venta. El corazón del piso se encuentra en la zona de día, en la que salón, comedor y cocina se conectan con naturalidad, un interior que se lee de manera continua y donde la luz se desliza desde los grandes ventanales hasta la cocina sin encontrar obstáculos. introduce un contrapunto más cálido y sofisticado. Las cortinas ligeras filtran la luz sin restarle protagonismo. «La clave está en no saturar: pocos elementos, bien elegidos, permiten que la vivienda se perciba más grande, más ordenada y más valiosa», señala González. El comedor refuerza esta idea y, junto a él, la cocina abierta introduce el gesto más contemporáneo de este interiorismo. Sus frentes oscuros, combinados con madera y superficies claras, aportan profundidad y sensación inmediata de calidad. La gran isla central funciona como lugar de preparación de platos, barra informal y elemento articulador entre las distintas áreas de la zona social. Los dos dormitorios son tranquilos, pensados para gustar sin imponerse gracias a una base blanca, cortinas vaporosas y la madera clara para crear una atmósfera descansada. En uno de ellos, los tonos empolvados aportan una nota suave y femenina; en el otro, el caldera imprime calidez y carácter, ambos con presencia de vestidores abiertos y funcionales. Los dos baños siguen la lógica de elegancia contenida, con lavabos suspendidos en piedra beis y tonos arena.
LA TERRAZA, EL VERDADERO LUJO MADRILEÑO
En una vivienda urbana, contar con un exterior amplio es casi un privilegio, por eso se planteó como una prolongación real del interior. El mobiliario exterior –de fibras naturales y textiles neutros– se organiza en tres escenas sobre una tarima cálida: zona de comedor, área de estar y un pequeño rincón de descanso con dos tumbonas y un parasol. La vegetación hace el resto. Y las vistas urbanas que recuerdan que estamos en pleno Madrid la convierten en toda una experiencia.
COCINA DIFERENCIAL Con isla central, frentes oscuros, madera y superficies claras, más que una cocina es uno de los grandes argumentos de la casa. Taburetes negros (al otro lado) y focos de techo en el mismo tono para dar un estilo urbano.
