PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Publication for Lily Chishan Wong, the 2022-23 Harry der Boghosian Fellow 09/2022–12/2022

- Used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create a narrative drawing of “alligator plant” and contributed to the publication of a collection of plant drawings which will be exhibited by Syracuse University School of Architecture in Spring 2023.

- Interviewed British design historian, Penny Sparke, and transcribed the interview for publication.

Architecture Internship at Mago Architecture | Syracuse, New York 03/2020–10/2022

- One-Piece Office Project in Santa Clara: Built a physical model under the guidance of Prof. Hannibal Newsom, founder of Mago Architecture. Laser cut materials and handbuilt a one quarter scale architectural model. Created conference rooms with wood panel design by using 3D print, hand modeling, and spray painting. Photographed and photoshopped the physical model.

- “Garden of the Standing Stones” Project (a collaborative program with Prof. Newsom and another Syracuse student): Made a flexible modular physical model with a site by laser cutting, hand modeling, and spray painting. Assisted in creating a stop-motion video showing the change of a variety of five arrangements for the modules to create five different public scenarios.

- “Plans No Program” Project (a group project on plan drawing): Constructed collage drawings by using the mechanical system of a watch as an inspiration and collaged the watch details with architectural plans to conduct a circular plan study.

Architect Virtual Internship at Drawing Architecture Studio | Beijing, China 05/2021–07/2021

- Collaborated on digital line and color drawing “Learning from Macao” with Drawing Architecture Studio for the Macao International Art Biennale. Constructed linework for six main buildings in the drawing and colored approximately 20 buildings along with a tube network system throughout the drawing by using Rhino and Adobe Illustrator.

- Collaborated on digital line and color drawing “Still Life in the Windy City” with Drawing Architecture Studio for the 4th Chicago Architecture Biennale. Constructed linework and colored 7 local houses and a church in Chicago by using Rhino and Adobe Illustrator.

INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT & ACHIEVEMENTS

- Macao International Art Biennale – Collaborated with Drawing Architecture Studio to finish “Learning from Macao”. (Work is acquired by Macao Museum of Art)

- 4th Chicago Architecture Biennale – Collaborated with Drawing Architecture Studio to finish “Still Life in the Windy City”. (Work is acquired by the Art Institute of Chicago)

- Wind H Exhibition – Collaborated with Drawing Architecture Studio in “The Complete Map of Capital Beijing”. (Model is acquired by Wind H Art Center)
