The Anderson County Library System Newsletter
Celebrate the magic and wonder of Harry Potter with free events for all ages this January at the Anderson County Library System. Harry Potter books and movies have been delighting children and adults since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was first published in 1997. “The world of Harry Potter is magical and resonates with people of all ages,” says Teen Librarian Miriam Church. “I love the Harry Potter series, which made planning these programs fun for me!” Children and teens can register for a tee time at the Powdersville Library for Hogwarts: A Hole in One on Friday, January 3 from 2:00-4:00 pm. The indoor miniature golf will have kids play putt-putt through Platform 9 ¾, Diagon Alley, Hogwarts, and more. Children will also be able to participate in a Triwizard Scavenger Hunt at 4pm on January 7 at the Belton Library, January 14 at the Lander Memorial Library, and January 28 at the Anderson Main Library. Teens can participate in an interactive screening of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on Monday, January 17 at 5:00 pm at the Pendleton Library. There will also be wizard-dueling and potion-making on Tuesday, January 7
