IBS Analytics Club personifies the term "analytics" as well as how we interact with data in real life. The club's numerous verticals all work under the same philosophy, "Data 2 Decision" and collaborate in leveraging data to conduct research in various sectors while also organising entertaining and interesting events.

The Club's activities began with a vigorous recruiting drive for "Analyst 5.0," i.e. the junior batch, which was followed by an exciting event planned only by junior batch "Vishleshan" and centered on analytics. Members of the club are encouraged to grow holistically and collaboratively. Matrix, the club's research vertical, works with the marketing vertical to create a weekend bulletin in which members conduct research on a firm and forecast its performance based on their findings. The editorial team collaborates with the marketing team on a regular basis to create posters for major festivals and national holidays. The events and operations teams collaborate to bring numerous events to a successful conclusion. This year, the club held successful events in partnership with several clubs such as Convergence, AAINA, MMC, and IFHE Blues.

The Club's signature event, "Trikona," is noted for its analytically driven premise. The club's research vertical is known for its management discussion event. The club's persistent efforts to support college activities have paid off, and it will continue to present entertaining and thought-provoking events in the future.

I read this quote randomly, when I was preparing for my job interviews and throughout my journey I had this in my mind. Getting placed in Newgen was a dream come true, as I have prior work experience with HCL, so I wanted to be a part of IT industry again, which is growing exponentially. I decided to focus on subjects related to IT and most important one was project management, although it may differ from company to company. Newgen’s first round was a basic English and Psychometric test. After the test results, we had our technical interviews that lasted for about 30-40mins per person and shortlisted candidates were called for the HR round. Overall experience was quite good.

I am really happy and thankful to the IBS Analytics club for allowing me to share my placement experience. I got placed in the leading global information technology, consulting, and business process services company, Wipro. This time, Wipro came earlier than other previous years with 9 different profiles. There were 3 rounds after the shortlist: GD, Technical Round, HR round. In GD, 1 min was given for preparation and 10 mins were given for the discussion. In the technical round, mainly questions were asked from my CV (for example, about myself, SIP, work-ex, etc). In the HR round, it was quite easy, mostly about family background, location preference, etc. The whole process was conducted online and it was one day process. My suggestions for the Wipro process will be to know well about every detail in your CV, SIP, work experience, and also understand the role you are applying for (you can refer JDs for best exposure to the roles), also about the company. Overall, it was a nice experience for me.

Starting my HR career with one of the largest companies in the FMCG company is a significant accomplishment. Haldiram, as we all know, is an Indian sweet and snack company with a national and even worldwide presence. The organisation is run by three families spread throughout India - Nagpur, Delhi, and Kolkata - who oversee the various states. The placement that came to IBS Hyderabad was for the recruitment of profiles for Haldiram's Nagpur family. The placement was a four-step procedure that began with an online aptitude round, that was followed by an online psychometric exam, a technical interview, and a personal interview round held at the company's headquarters in Nagpur where the panellists were the board members of the Nagpur division All rounds needed a deep understanding of SIP fundamentals as well as the understanding of approach to actual corporate issues. As a fresher, I had a positive experience throughout the entire procedure. The fact that the 2022 batch was the first to be offered a placement opportunity with Haldiram is a cherry on top.

The zero week was approaching and getting shortlisted for final round of couple of companies alongside deloitte, there was apprehension about the role I wanted to get into, company culture and growth in that sector. I had to take a call on the things that I would put first was it company and role, was it package or was it location and Deloitte almost ticked most of the boxes. The 1st round of interview which was a mix of technical and HR round was when I realized it is the place I'd want myself to see in the coming years. The interview was mostly based on my previous work experience as a technical assistant engineer in TSMSIDC and my internship in SAIL-BSP.

The culture and commitment that was injected in me from IBS Analytics Club helped me greatly throughout my placement process Friends and family who help you in discovering and negating your weaknesses are cruital, you know who you are.

I'm not surprised by the record level placement scene in IBS Hyderabad campus and I am sure that this year and the coming years have a great scope for the managers-to-be.

PS: All you need is friends, family and friends who are family.

Starting my Finance career with one of the largest companies in the non-banking sector is a significant accomplishment. BA Continuum India Private Limited is a wholly owned non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation. Bank of America is one of the Big Four banking institutions of the United States It serves approximately 10.73% of all American bank deposits, in direct competition with JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup and Wells Fargo Its primary financial services revolve around commercial banking, wealth management, and investment banking. The placement was a Three-step procedure that began with resume shortlisting round, that was followed by video recorded interview, and a technical interview, round held. All rounds needed a deep understanding of SIP fundamentals, finance basics as well as the understanding of approach to actual corporate issues. For stepping up in the ladder of recruitment rounds one only need to be very open to learn and be clear with all the basics of finance As a fresher, I had a positive experience throughout the entire procedure.

From the month of September, it’s felt like a long journey where I have crossed many speed breakers. But the moment when I hit that bull’s eye all those sleepless nights and hard work paid off. Being a fresher, I got a great opportunity to start my career in a big company like Birlasoft as Management Trainee- Supply Chain Executive Consultant Birlasoft combines the power of a domain, enterprise, and digital technologies to reimagine business processes for customers and their ecosystem. Its consultative and design thinking approach makes societies more productive by helping customers run their businesses. From automobile, manufacturing to utilities Birlasoft provides its services.

Now, being an IBS Analytics club member, this helps me a lot during my intro as well as giving examples of any skill. At the end of the day, it’s all about learning, and the time I have invested in the club by leading my pride vertical Editorial which give me the boost to move forward.
