Transportation Program for Anaheim Seniors

Transportation service is available for Anaheim older adults aged 60 and over. Participants must be residents of the City of Anaheim. You may use the Senior Wheels Program for transportation within a 10-mile radius of your home in the City of Anaheim. Non-emergency medical appointment transportation options are available. Availability and hours are subject to change.

Nutrition – transportation to the city sponsored congregate meal site. The hours are from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM.

Social, Recreation, Shopping & Medical - transportation hours are Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Saturday & Sunday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

The ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION generously donated over $8,600 to the children, teens, and adult summer programs and classes at Canyon, Haskett, Central, and Ponderosa such as summer reading, flower arrangement, Korean drumming, jam making, upcycling, soap making, self-care, song writing, poetry writing, sensory sustainability, ocean adventures, and much more.

DISNEYLAND RESORT generously donated $10,000 to support the summer Eco-Fun Faire at Oak Canyon Nature Center in June. The donation provided a tote giveaway, Kona Ice treat, crafts, nature booths, and entertainment.

FRIENDS OF THE ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY donated $1,218 to support the May Day program at Heritage Services, First Language, and accessibility, as well as the summer reading program at East Anaheim Library.

FRIENDS OF CANYON LIBRARY donated over $2,240 to support the programs at Canyon Hills Library.

The Pearson Park Amphitheatre received donations in April and May for its Summer Nights Under the Stars program, of $1,500 from ANAHEIM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, BOYDSTUN REALTY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, and COUNCILMEMBER KRISTEN M. MAAHS

BOOMERS INSURANCE sponsored a booth with a donation of $300 at one of the Concerts in the Canyon.

IN-KIND DONATIONS

ADRIANA CITLALI BRENES-RIOS, A local poet, served as the featured speaker at Open Mic, reading to the attendees and donating a copy of her book.

DONATO RAMIREZ donated a copy of his book during the Central Library Open Mic night.

GREEK AND ASSOCIATES VETERINARY HOSPITAL returned to the stage at Oak Canyon Nature Center Nature Nights with several reptile animals from around the world.

POLLY’S PIES donated 3,000 coupons for a free pie each month for a whole year as an incentive to the Summer Reading Program, totaling over $33,000 in monetary value.

VARSITY BURGERS donated 3,000 certificates for a free burger, valued at $7.60 each, to be used as incentives to encourage reading and return visits to the library.

REUNION KITCHEN AND DRINK catered for the City of Anaheim's Senior Programs' Mother's Day meal. Their contribution served over 60 older adults with fried chicken, potato salad, and roasted vegetables.

• Request for refund made within 5 days or less before the first class meeting are subject to a 10% withdrawal fee.

• Requests for refund made 24 hours or less prior to the first class meeting are subject to a 15% withdrawal fee.

• Refunds will not be granted after the second class meeting. Refunds must be requested prior to the start of the second class meeting.
