One of Orange County’s oldest celebrations of Mexican culture. The Anaheim Cinco de Mayo Fiesta began with a small group of dedicated parents and educators from Fremont Jr. High and Anaheim High School. While this event continues to grow in both size and scope, it remains a family affair at heart. The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is still managed by the family of founder Joel A. Guerena, despite his passing in 1997. The extended Guerena family, alongside countless volunteers, spend hundreds of hours preparing for this four-day carnival, now a staple of Anaheim cultural inclusion. Four Decades later, this event has transformed from a few families with booths to a vibrant festival featuring amusement park rides and an entertainment stage for folklorico, mariachi, and other popular music groups.
The 52nd Annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta offers a variety of activities, scholarship awards, and performances for the entire family to enjoy.
